Shruti Haasan, the daughter of the acclaimed actors, Kamal Haasan and Sarika Thakur, has made a name for herself in the Indian film industry with her impeccable acting stints. Apart from being a phenomenal actress, Shruti is also a renowned playback singer. Being a known personality, the actress' personal life was in the limelight for the past few days as reports surfaced in the media claiming that she had broken up with her boyfriend, Santanu Hazarika, after almost four years of being in a relationship with him.
Amid the reports, Shruti took to her Instagram account on April 30, 2024, and shared some pictures of herself, one of which also included her sister, Akshara Haasan. In the pictures, the actress was seen sitting in front of a door, and a few rays of sunlight peeked through it, fell on her face, and partially lit it. Shruti was wearing a casual outfit with her hair open, and she was seen smiling for the lens. She captioned her post as:
"I feel the light, I feel so blessed and grateful for these moments."

As soon as Shruti Haasan uploaded this feel-good post on her Instagram feed, netizens started penning down their thoughts on the same. While a segment asked why she broke up with Santanu, others complimented her after-breakup glow. One user said, "Santanu ko q chod diya Mujhe Janna Hai?" Another one wrote, "After breakup people glow different." A third netizen mentioned, "3rd Pic - that perfect look when u just had a breakup."

A source disclosed to the Hindustan Times that Shruti had broken up with her boyfriend, Santanu, as their wavelengths were not matching anymore. The source revealed that the two amicably parted ways last month. For those who don't know, the duo started dating sometime around 2020 and were even living together. The source added:
"They broke up last month. Since there were personal wavelength issues, they decided to part ways amicably."
When the news portal tried contacting the actress to confirm such rumours, she refused to comment and further asked for privacy. Meanwhile, Santanu, when asked by ETimes about his relationship status with Shruti, said, "I'm sorry. I don't wish to comment on it." Moreover, Shruti has also removed all her pictures with Santanu and even took a break from social media.
