You all must remember him from one of his many mimicry acts from the National Award winning movie, Filmistaan. The seasoned actor, who also has Yash Chopra’s movie Jab Tak Hai Jaan under his belt, married his college sweetheart, Nasreen, on December 27, 2003. And, even though the couple faced a lot of troubles while getting married, [Nasreen’s parents had a problem with Shairb being two inches shorter than their daughter], they managed to convince everyone and got married.

In Sharib’s words:
"On December 27 this year, we will celebrate our 12th wedding anniversary, and our love and bond is as strong as ever. Whatever I have managed to achieve in life, a big credit for that goes to my wife Nasreen. And, I will be forever thankful to her for being in my life."
When asked by one of his friends whether he would ever keep Karva Chauth fast for his wife, this is what the actor had to say:

"Karva Chauth to humne kabhi rakha nahin par agey kabhi aisa mauka aaya toh apni begum ke liye main bhookha reh sakta hoon".
And this year, he actually made it come true by keeping the fast of Karva Chauth.
His wife, Nasreen is quite taken aback by Sharib's gesture and cannot hold back her happiness.
“I love Sharib for his simplicity and his ability to pleasantly surprise me, especially when after 12 years of marriage, I thought I knew everything there is to know about him. And now, he keeps Karva Chauth ka vrat for me. I am like bowled over.”
Well, the Hashmis are going to have one happy Karva Chauth together. After all, it is their first ever!
When Agastaya got admitted into the same college and course as his classmate from school, Lipi Gemini, little did he know that fate was conspiring to bring them together- a friendship that turned into a bond of a lifetime. And after four years of marriage, Agastaya has decided to join his wife, Lipi in keeping the Karva Chauth fast.
In Agastaya’s words:
"It’s been a roller coaster ride with her. We are exactly opposites of each other. I am lazy she is active, I am clever she is dumb, I am soft-spoken she is loud, I love her and she hates the fact that I only "love" her and not "Madly love" her. God only knows what is the difference!"
On Karva Chauth, this witty creative director who works in the media industry had these pearls of wisdom to share:

Lipi, who is a housewife and can match word to word in terms of wits with her husband has this to share:
“I cook his brain, wash his thoughts, clean his debit card and manage to control all his senses to love me and only me. And, I am going to make sure he does not cheat in the fast.”
Well, it will be really interesting to watch the Jains on Karva Chauth this year.
Described as ‘Drama King’ by his fellow colleagues, Nimesh Panchamia, who is a flight attendant with a leading airlines found love in the air, literally! His wife, Chaitali, was a fellow student with him in the aviation academy and soon became his good friend. But the smitten Nimesh, who actually convinced her parents to convince Chaitali for marriage is still as much in awe of her as he was on the first day of meeting her. Here is what he has to say:
“I am a big fan of hers. Ours is a smooth and simple love story. Our friendship turned into love. Having her as my life partner has given me everything that I always wanted and even more.”
They got married six years back.
Currently, Nimesh is posted in Abu Dhabi for a year. But, he is going to keep Karva Chauth fast for Chaitali from there. According to him, it is his way of showing Chaitali how much she means to him.
Chaitali who has been missing her husband on all special occasions is comforted in the fact that her ‘Nimu’ is keeping her company in this festival of love and devotion for your partner.
“I love everything about Nimesh. He is someone who respects women a lot. Ours is actually an arranged marriage from my side and love marriage from his side. He empathises with how I keep this fast the entire day for him. Even though Nimu is not with me this Karva Chauth, we have both decided to look at the chaand together.”

Harish Sharma is a man who has been well-versed in playing with numbers. But, when it came to the matters of the heart, he was clean bowled in the very first over! Even before he met his wife, Vidhi, who incidentally was also her colleague, he was intrigued from the moment he heard her name eight years back. Theirs was a mutual attraction in which they both did not even had to propose to each other officially.
In Harish’s words:
“I want to say this about my wife that she completes me. Be it any occassion like my birthday, our anniversary, Valentine's Day or anything else, she makes me feel special by arranging lovely surprises for me… And, the best gift she gave to me is my cute naughty son, Arnav, who completes our family. This is my way of saying thank you to her.”

His wife, Vidhi who also works on the same post, has this to say:
"It is my sixth Karva Chauth and I am still as much excited as I was on my first. I cut my hubby’s pocket for my shopping and preparations, which is also a very good experience and feeling. And, now he is keeping the vrat for me!”

And last, but certainly not the least, is Apoorv Kalra, the dashing co-founder and director of our BollywoodShaadis.com. The soft-spoken entrepreneur got married last year in November, 2014, and this is his first Karva Chauth. And, in order to please his wife, Rinki, who works with a leading bank in India, Apoorv is going to keep the fast along with her.
One look at the couple and you will not believe that theirs was an arranged marriage. The couple is so much in love!
In Apoorv’s words:
“My wife is my best half with whom I can be what I am. Marriage has given me a lot to look forward to. Howsoever the day may have been, at the end, I have my best friend with me to share all the good and bad of my life with me. It would be our first Karva Chauth after marriage, and I have decided to fast for her as well [though she has given me the liberty to eat anytime I feel the urgency for it!!]”
Rinki is on cloud nine! For one, this is her first Karva Chauth post-marriage and secondly, her husband is going to keep the fast with her. Here is what she has to say:
“This is our first Karva Chauth together and I am very excited about it. The very essence of this festival makes me love it. What makes it more special are all the colours and love that it brings along. My hubby and I would be fasting together (though I really doubt that he can pull it till the end of the day).”
