Aaliyah Kashyap is the daughter of ace director, Anurag Kashyap and his ex-wife, Aarti Bajaj. Like other celebrity daughters, Aaliyah also enjoys a huge fanbase on her social media handles. In addition, she is a popular YouTuber and keeps updating her fans with various sneak peeks into her life. Currently, the 22-year-old celeb kid is hitting the headlines since the social media influencer got engaged to her boyfriend, Shane Gregoire and announced their wedding. For the unversed, Shane runs his own business. Now, Aaliyah opened up about dealing with massive trolling as she got engaged at the mere age of 22.
Taking to her YouTube handle on June 6, 2023, Anurag Kashyap's daughter, Aaliyah Kashyap answered a few questions regarding her engagement and wedding plans with her fiance, Shane Gregoire. Elaborating on it, Aaliyah revealed she and Shane have been living together for quite some time, and they have been together for three years. Thus, she mentioned how she feels content while living with her fiance and said:

“For me, it’s my life. If I feel ready, I feel ready. We’re both ready. We’ve been talking about this for a while. We’ve already been living together for like six months. We’ve been together for three years. It’s just a ‘when you know, you know’ situation. I know I’m super happy in this relationship, and he’s my soulmate.”

Further, Aaliyah admitted that she got hate for her decision to get engaged to her beau, Shane. However, she also mentioned that these things don't bother her. She mentioned that it's just a personal choice and that these decisions shouldn't depend on societal barriers. In Aaliyah's words:
"I don’t really care if people have hate about us marrying young. I know we are young, but I don’t really care. I don't think it's a big deal. I don't see the issue at all. It's really stupid that people make such a big thing. I don't think your age matters, your maturity matters when it comes to decisions. Obviously, marriage is a huge decision. I don't recommend every 20 year old to go out and get married, that's not how it works. It's just a personal choice.”
In the same Vlog, Aaliyah confessed how she never doubted Shane and firmly believed that the duo would someday end up marrying. However, she confessed that marriage was not on her cards till the age of 28, until she met Shane. Further, she revealed hosting engagement parties in August 2023, one in India and another in the US, to celebrate the occasion with Shane's family. Moreover, the duo want to get married by 1.5-2 years from now and thinking of arranging the same within the spring or summer of 2025.

It was on May 20, 2023, when Aaliyah delighted her massive fanbase with stunning glimpses from her dreamy proposal that she got from her beau, Shane. Taking to her Instagram handle, she dropped a series of pictures from the same, wherein the soon-to-be bride was flaunting her huge diamond ring. In the pictures, Aaliyah looked pretty in a printed midi dress with ruffle sleeves. On the other hand, Shane opted for a beige-hued shirt and matching pants. In one of the pictures, they were also seen sharing a lip-lock moment. Alongside the pictures, Aaliyah penned:
"Soooooo THIS HAPPENED!!!!! To my best friend, my partner, my soulmate and now my FIANCE! You are the love of my life. Thank you for showing me what real & unconditional love feels like. Saying yes to you was the easiest thing I’ve ever done & I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you, my love. I love you forever & always Fiance (still can’t believe I get to call you that AAHHHH)."
