While many celebs happily share their wedding news, there are some stars who keep their marriage under wraps, strictly away from the media glare. In fact, they share their wedding news with the world through social media, or through some other medium. So, let us have a look at some of our B-town stars who had a low-key or secret wedding.
They are one of the most talked-about celeb couples who had a low-key wedding ceremony. While it was speculated that the Bollywood star, Shahid Kapoor’s wedding with Mira Rajput will be a grand affair in Delhi, it was actually a rather low-key one. However, the star did host a lavish reception in Mumbai later. The couple tied the knot on July 7, 2015.

Actress Minissha Lamba’s secret wedding with her long-time boyfriend, Ryan Tham, took everyone by surprise. The couple had a registered marriage in Mumbai on July 6, 2015, followed by a family lunch. No one had a clue about their marriage till actress Pooja Bedi congratulated the couple on Twitter. It was only after that when Minissha shared the happy news with the rest of the world.

Like others, even Kunal Kapoor and Naina Bachchan tied the knot quietly, surrounded by close family and friends in Seychelles on February 9, 2015. However, the couple threw a reception in Delhi to celebrate their nuptials. But, the world would not have known about their wedding either had Kunal not shared their scenic marriage pictures.

It was a known fact that John Abraham and Priya Runchal were dating each other for quite some time, but no one expected that their wedding would be a hush-hush affair! The couple apparently got married at the spur of the moment while holidaying in the US in 2014. The actor tweeted this:

Had he not shared this tweet, their wedding might have remained a secret for a long time.
Their relationship was the talk of the town for many years. Everyone was eagerly waiting to know about their marriage plans. But, the news of Aditya Chopra’s secret marriage with Rani Mukerji in Italy on April 21, 2014, left everyone astonished. Their wedding was “attended by 20 people” only. In fact, Karan Johar and Vaibhavi Merchant were the only B-town celebs who were invited to the wedding.

Actor Aftab Shivdasani married his long-time girlfriend Nin Dusanj in a secret ceremony on June 11, 2014. If reports are to be believed, the reason behind their hush-hush affair was Aftab’s previous broken relationships, which had left him heartbroken and superstitious about marriage. That is why the couple decided to tie knot secretly with just close family members in attendance to avoid anything getting jinxed. The couple remarried on August 29, 2017, in Sri Lanka's famous resort named Anantara Peace Haven Tangalle Resort.
Even Celina Jaitly broke the news of her marriage with Peter Haag on Twitter. The actress revealed the news after a month of her nuptial knot getting tied. They got married on July 23, 2011, at a thousand-year-old monastery in Austria.

Stand-up comedian and actor, Vir Das, secretly married his long-time girlfriend, Shivani Mathur, in Sri Lanka on October 19, 2014, after five years of courtship. Their marriage came into the limelight exactly after a month when their wedding pictures surfaced on social media.
The news of Konkona Sen Sharma's marriage with actor Ranvir Shorey came to light just a few days after the pregnancy rumours of the actress started doing the rounds. Bollywood actors and long-time best friends, Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi got married to each other in a secret Gurudwara wedding on May 10, 2018 in Delhi. Neha’s best friend, Karan Johar gave the sweet surprise to the world by announcing on Twitter:

Hate Story fame actress, Surveen Chawla took to Instagram one day and out of nowhere announced to the whole world that she is married. In fact, Surveen and Akshay had been married since 2015. They had a fun-filled Italian wedding. Talking about the same, Surveen revealed to a media portal:
“Yes, I am married. I have known Akshay for long. It was a personal choice to not talk about the marriage. We wanted to break the news just before our Indian wedding, which was scheduled to take place this month. However, we had to postpone it to 2018, following a loss in the family”.
Tarzan fame Bollywood actor, Vatsal Sheth and Firangi fame actress, Ishita Dutta got married to each other in a hush-hush ceremony on November 28, 2017, at ISKCON Temple in Juhu, Mumbai. Their wedding was kept secret, away from the media glare. Celebs like Ajay Devgn with wife Kajol Devgn, Tanuja Mukerji, Bobby Deol, Sohail Khan and many others from TV and Bollywood industry graced the event.

Bollywood actress, Riya Sen got secretly married to her long-time boyfriend, Shivam Tiwari. The wedding took place in Pune on August 16, 2017, in a lavish ceremony amidst close friends and family. Talking about her hush-hush marriage, Riya Sen later told a media portal about the sudden decision of getting married:
“He just woke up one morning and said: Let's get married NOW!”.
Dino Lalvani is the son of a Pakistan-born British businessman Gullu Lalvani, and Lisa and Dino dated for almost a year before they got tied in the wedlock. They got married on October 29, 2016, in a beach wedding which was attended only by close family and friends.

This is the most tragic Bollywood marriage ever as it didn’t last long. While shooting for a film in Kumaon, Bollywood actors Shammi Kapoor and Geeta Bali fell in love with each other. The same year on August 24, 1955, the two got married secretly at Banganga Temples – a famous temple complex in Mumbai with Hari Walia, the priest, as the only witness. Sadly, Geeta Bali died of smallpox in 1965 and after months of despair, Shammi Kapoor married Neila Devi.
