Twisted ropes, classic braids to messy styles, all have been a huge success on the 2015 runways. An ideal style for both Indian and international desi brides, a braid can complement both the lehenga and the gown. Messy braids would specifically look good on the occasions of sagan or sangeet, with Indo-western outfits.
Fashion designer Suneet Varma sent his models down the runway, at Lakme India Fashion Week Summer Resort 2015, with braids adorned with flowers and ribbons. Even international designers like Donna Karan and Michael Kors, have splashed their runways with braids this season.

Bridal buns have always been a grand fixture at Indian weddings. This season, they appeared on the Indian as well as international runways. They were showcased by designers like Anamika Khanna, Karishma Jamwal, Edun and Erin Fetherston, looking ever so glamourous. The adornments for this hairdo might differ from bride to bride, but the idea for the style is the same. It is a classic beauty fix with sophistication.
Big, polished and poufy buns aside, messy buns are also a great option. They can be styled differently, like a side bun for mehendi or as a decorated bun for your reception party. Seen on designer Reem Acra’s runways with glowing floral adornments, this style has truly wowed us! Indian designer, SS Surya, also showcased an edgier version of the messy bun at the Lakme Fashion Week Summer Resort 2015 runway.

It is feminine, romantic, pretty and we are in love with it! Being an ideal way to flaunt the length of your hair, whilst supporting a beautiful hairdo, this style has been another prominent feature on the ramps this year. Curls are the definition of romance! Verandah by Anjali, Carolina Herrera, Marchesa and many more have flaunted this hairstyle on their runways. Curls are the go-to style for any function.
