Emraan Hashmi is one of the most handsome actors in the industry. With his acting spree and intimate onscreen scenes with many actresses in many romantic films, he gained the title of the 'serial kisser of Bollywood’. Moreover, his onscreen characters and their small gestures have always inspired couples. However, now we know about his iconic proposal scene in one of his films, which is also connected with his real-life relationship with his now-wife, Parveen Shahani.
In an interview with Hindustan Times, Emraan Hashmi opened up about his iconic proposal scene in the 2008 hit film, Jannat, wherein he had opted for a 'no car, no pyaar' policy. Later, when he could finally buy a car, which he dreamt of for a long, he proposed to his lady love, played by Sonal Chauhan in the film. Now, Emraan mentioned that the car used by him in the film's scene, was a Honda Accord, a dream car that also held a special place in his real life. The actor shared that the car was used while proposing to his wife, Parveen. He shared:
“The famous proposal scene, ‘No car, no pyaar,’ which keeps trending on Instagram, is a special one. The Honda Accord was my dream car, and I wanted to impress my girlfriend. In the film too, what you see is my car, which my character uses to propose to Sonal’s character. This is something I keep seeing on Instagram."

It was the 2004 hit film, Murder, which gave Emraan immense fame. It had many intimate scenes with actress, Mallika Sherawat, which left everyone's jaws dropped. Afterwards, during his appearance on Karan Johar's chat show, Koffee With Karan, the actor was asked about his wife’s reaction towards the intimate scenes in his films. Revealing how his wife reacted to his steamy scenes in Murder, Emraan revealed how his wife started digging her nails into his hands. Elaborating more on it, he recalled:
“In the first seat my wife is digging her nails into my hand like ‘what the hell have you done and you haven’t prepared me for this and what are you doing because this is not Bollywood’. When the hands came off, there were four jabs… I was injured…I was bleeding.”
Further in the conversation, Emraan honestly revealed how he used to manage and convince his wife, Parveen for his onscreen steamy scenes with other actresses. Although he revealed that now she understands that it is a part of his profession. However, the actor also opened up about the deal that they have made together and revealed:
“Right now there is a deal that we have…The deal is I take her shopping and she probably swipes the card close to seven-digit numbers.”

In another 2012 interview with the Hindustan Times, Emraan opened up about managing his personal and professional lives. The actor revealed that he doesn’t discuss the scenes with his wife, Parveen. But as his wife is a movie buff, he generally tells her about the films he is making and calls her' non-interfering'.
