Be frank with your caterer about your need to save money. Get frugal with the main course, but keep filling entrees. Also, instead of having five to six stations with different cuisines, you can stick to the pallete of food that suits your guests the best. This way you will also be able to reduce food wastage at your wedding. At most weddings, as guests concentrate on picking up pre-dinner snacks, the dinner is mostly wasted. Venues, caterers and all wedding vendors automatically hike their rates durnig this season to cover their off-season running costs. Vendors and venues are always happy to offer discounted rates to get business during off seasons.

Expensive wedding invites can eat up a sizeable portion of your wedding budget. Try to avoid large and heavily customised wedding invites.
