Bollywood’s estranged couple, Kalki Koechlin and Anurag Kashyap, are finally ending their marriage officially as the two have filed for a divorce. The two fell in love with each other while working together for the movie, Dev D. They got married in 2011, and separated from each other a little after that. Now, after living separately for more than a year, they are finally heading towards a legal separation.
The actress confirmed the news of having filed for divorce, in an interview to Times of India, and here are the details of the same.

Their relationship was believed to be going through a rough patch before they separated from each other in 2013.
Soon after that, Anurag Kashyap gave a statement confirming the news. He said:
"Me and Kalki are separating. We are taking time off from each other to figure things out. We are not divorcing."
While the reason behind this separation is not known to anyone, some rumours suggested that it happened because the director got quite too close to Huma Qureshi. However, the rumours were lashed out by Kalki herself in a tweet. She mentioned:
“Jesus Christ can we please leave Huma alone?! My problems with Anurag have nothing to do with her!”
In fact, Kalki and Anurag are believed to have maintained a healthy relationship even after separation.

After quite a long time of their unofficial separation, the couple is finally making it legal. The 31-year-old actress confirmed in one of her interviews, and said:
"Last year was a little bit more of a struggle, as I didn't know where I was going. I wasn't sure where my relationship with Anurag was going. All of it was unclear. Now, we are pretty clear that we are not going to be together. We have already applied for divorce and will get it soon."
The actress will be soon seen in a movie, Margarita With A Straw, and the director will have his movie, Bombay Velvet, in the theatres soon.

While the chemistry between the two did not work out in the real life, we really loved to see their team work in the reel life. And, we just hope to see more of it in future!
