The world of glamour could not overshadow his love for his wife. Their relationship has been one of those rare examples of true love. How the Cupid struck their hearts and how their romance is rather growing over the years, here we spill the beans of this beautiful relationship.
Pashmeen used to study in a girl’s school. But as they say, ‘marriages are made in heaven,’ her destiny got her to a new co-ed school and this is where Barun used to study. They were studying in ninth standard when the couple first met each other.
Pretty Pashmeen used to be counted as one of the most desirable girls in the school. And Barun was one of the fans who used to find excuses to see her and talk to her. And gradually, they turned into good friends.

At times what closeness can’t do, distance does it with much ease. This is what happened with these two lovebirds. They used to feel that they are just close buddies, but only when Pashmeen had to leave for Australia for her graduation, the duo realised their love for each other. Instead of getting heartbroken, they decided to keep the flame of romance burning through a long distance relationship.
Though it was very difficult to continue the relationship in long distance, this pair did it and that too for five long years. During one of his visits to Australia, while dining in a high-end restaurant, something very interesting or rather cute happened. Actually, Barun didn’t like the food he ordered for himself. By noticing this, Pashmeen exchanged her plate with him.
This small gesture by the pretty lady moved him greatly and he realised that it’s the time to propose her for marriage. The moment he popped the question, she agreed instantly.
Though Pashmeen hails from a conservative Punjabi family, there wasn’t any opposition to their decision. On December 12, 2010, they took the wedding vows and their wedding was restricted only to close friends and a few family members since Barun is a private person.

The wedding was done as per the Punjabi rituals in a Gurudwara and was a low-key affair.
It is quite normal for any couple to experience the ups and downs in a relationship. Barun and Pashmeen's relationship is no exception. They too fight sometimes and that too on silly things.
Here's what the actor has to say about it:
“There haven’t been any lows as such, but like any other couple, we fight on and off.”

But their fights never take ugly turn and a great credit goes to Pashmeen. She is the peace-maker and first one to apologise, even when she is not at fault. She has no qualms about doing so. But of course she has a few complaints about him, though not too serious ones. Once asked in an interview, what she dislikes about him, Barun replied:
"That I presume things at times. She says, ‘How can you understand what I am thinking if I haven’t even told you about it yet?"
All these trivial complaints have never been the hurdle of their relationship. They share a strong understanding. Barun, who is seen doing many bold scenes on television, doesn’t have a nagging wife in his real life who makes an issue over them.
Explaining the rapport they share, he said:
"My wife knows that I love her too much so she is fine with the intimate scenes I do. She understands my work as an actor."
The best part of marriage according to Barun is that he has got his partner forever; he doesn’t have to miss her company as he used to do during their courtship days. At the same time, he also accepts that there are certain adjustments one has to do to keep things run smooth.
In his words:
“I think every relationship changes every day.”
A true example of a ‘one woman man’, Barun is madly in love with Pashmeen. Their passion for each other has been the same till date.
