One moment, you're panicking about the type of flowers at the venue, the alteration of your lehenga, the pimple on your cheek in the morning and whatnot, and the other moment, you don't even realise how fast time passed by and you're now watching wedding pictures and videos with your husband. Soon, you are celebrating the milestones of your wedding life and making moments to be cherished forever with your partner. Mira Rajput Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor's 'high five' moment is finally here as the lovebirds have completed 5 years of married life. It was in 2015 when Mira Rajput had added Kapoor to her name in July 2015 when she had tied the knot with Bollywood’s heartthrob, Shahid Kapoor. Since then, Shahid and Mira have been living their ‘happily ever after’ and have welcomed two little munchkins, Misha Kapoor and Zain Kapoor in their lives. To mark their fourth wedding anniversary, Shahid had posted the first-ever picture of his now-wife, Mira that he had saved in his phone. Shahid had captioned it as “Her first picture I saved on my phone. And now almost every second picture has her in it. She is #life. I love you @mira.kapoor thank you for being you.”

As Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput Kapoor complete five years of marital bliss on July 7, 2020, the excitement and happiness seem boundless for the latter. Mira had begun the countdown of her fifth wedding anniversary since five days back when she had reposted a fan page's post on her IG story and had written, “5 Days to 5 Years” atop it. On the fifth anniversary, Mira expressed gratitude by sharing an unseen picture from her Gurudwara wedding with Shahid and captioned it, "Gratitude" followed by a heart emoji.
Last month in June 2020, Mira Rajput Kapoor had refreshed her wedding reception memories and had posted an Insta story of a ‘major throwback’ picture with Shahid Kapoor. Manisha Malhotra had posted a picture of the then newly-wedded couple, Shahid and Mira as they had walked hand-in-hand on their wedding reception and were all smiles for the shutterbugs. Manish had written, “@mira.kapoor radiant at her reception with flapper @shahidkapoor” and “@mira.kapoor in @mmalhotraworld #throwback The Blue Storv” atop it. Reposting the picture, Mira had written, “Major throwback! @manishmalhotra05” atop it. For the wedding reception, Shahid had looked suave in a formal black tux while his bride, Mira had swooned us in a cream and blue floral Manish Malhotra outfit and jewellery by Nirav Modi. For the Vogue Wedding Book 2019, Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput Kapoor had let their fans into their world and had recalled the best moments of their wedding. Sharing that Shahid had promised her to renew their wedding vows, Mira had remarked, “He’s promised me we’re going to do it again!” Recalling his favourite moment from the wedding, Shahid had said, “The Anand Karaj ceremony was my favourite moment from the wedding. It was just a room full of our people, celebrating us, perfect strangers who were going to take this insane journey together. Even though it’s just been four years, a large part of who I am has been formed since the day we got married. We were relieved! The formalities were over, and we could now start sharing our lives.”

In an interactive Instagram session with the fans, Mira Rajput Kapoor had revealed that she had met Shahid Kapoor for the first time when she was 16 years old. When a fan had asked her, “What was it like meeting Shahid for the first time? Considering he is a star”, Mira had replied, “Just like meeting anyone for the first time. Interesting. It was actually when I was 16 and we were at a common family friends house for a concert by a sufi singer.
