As a lot of beauties from the tinsel town took the plunge last year, they totally mesmerised us with their great taste. The beautiful Dia Mirza married her long-time beau, Sahil Sangha, last year in October. We totally loved the unique choice of colours that she made for each wedding function. For her mehendi, she opted for the marigold colour, and wore a chanderi anarkali with gotta patti work. The outfit looked all the more interesting as she teamed it up with a fuchsia odhni. And of course, not to miss the floral jewellery that she opted for her mehendi ceremony.
On the sangeet ceremony, she looked amazing in a bright purple and gold lehenga. The gorgeous lady used Kundan jewellery to compete her look for the occasion.

Her traditional wedding joda was reminiscent of a Mughal queen. It was a dazzling sharara in gold and emerald green, with zardozi craftsmanship. This time, Dia opted for emerald and Kundan jewellery, and she looked truly stunning with that traditional jhoomar.

Another important feature of her look on all the occasions was that she simply followed the “less is more” rule, when it came to her makeup.

For her wedding, Sameera turned out in a traditional Maharashtrian saree designed by Neeta Lulla. She kept the look very simple and true to her roots. The addition of the flowers in her hair was a good move. While her choice of colours- red and marigold yellow with the gold zari borders was loud, she beautifully balanced it with simple makeup and dark lips.

Salman Khan’s sister, Arpita, was dressed in an elaborate red and gold lehenga by the designer duo, Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla. She completed her look with layers of Polki necklaces, earrings and maang tikka.
While her choice of colour for her bridal attire was absolutely traditional, it was completely untraditional for her reception party. For her wedding reception, Arpita opted for a gorgeous mint lehenga with light pink and blue embroidery on it. And, she looked really amazing as she accessorised herself with just a delicate necklace and small earrings.

Here is yet another bride who was not scared of being a little experimental on her big day. She wore a beautiful strawberry ice lehenga on her wedding reception. Adding to the subtleness of the outfit, there was a sleek pistachio-green border and silver embroidery. She teamed it up with a Kundan-Polki choker, matching earrings, and a dewy makeup to complete her look. Needless to say, she looked simply beautiful with this great selection of right outfit and accessories.

Ahana Deol’s mehendi look was truly unique and spectacular. She wore a very colourful outfit complemented with orchid tiara, and the combination was simply breathtaking. It is always nice to look fresh and festive on functions just before the big day.
Other than that, wedding reception can be quite a tricky occasion to decide the right ensemble. We say this because you neither wish to go traditional nor too contemporary.
