When Mrunal gave a befitting reply to producers who asked her to lose weight in order to appear sexy

In a previous interview with The Indian Express, Mrunal Thakur talked about instances of body-shaming that she has faced in her career. She revealed how many filmmakers frequently ask her to lose a few kilos, so that she could look sexy and pull off the perfect feminine avatar on-screen. Revealing the response she gives back on such situations, Mrunal shared:

“I have immense faith in my team because they transform me. As an actor, it is important for me to be neutral, because then all the filmmakers around me can mould me into that character. What is it that people want to see? I did a song and people were like don’t do this, you have to lose weight. I said, listen, I have thick thighs and I own them, and I am so comfortable. If I am not uncomfortable, then why are you uncomfortable?”
