Debutante balls are social parties attended by eligible bachelor ladies from all around the world who are prepping to get married. These debutantes are led to socialise with eligible men and see if they find anyone worthy of marriage. These balls usually have a fundraising event, and for 2023, it was for the cardiology research unit ARCFA of Necker-Enfants Malades Hospital and World Central Kitchen, which provides meals to vulnerable communities during global crises like COVID-19.

The Paris 2023 Debutante ball was organised by Ophelie Renouard and titled as Le Bal des Debutantes. The ball was attended by ladies from all over the world and even by India and Pakistan. This year was indeed legendary as, for the first time, Pakistan participated in the ball and stunned everyone with her vintage diamond necklace.

Hannah Husain's vintage 1810 diamond-emerald necklace

Hannah Husain attended the 2023 Paris debutante ball in a Georges Hobeika and Elie Saab creation paired with humankind's most glorious necklace ever seen. The necklace featured a crisscross diamond and emerald pattern, and its history traces back to 1810. Italy's Princess, Maria Carolina, gifted this necklace to her goddaughter, which was later taken by Princess, Helena Orleans and sold to Sybil Sassoon of France. Sybil later loaned the necklace to Nobel Prize winner, Lady Churchill.

Sybil had the necklace in her possession till her death, after which Christie sold the necklace for USD 2.6 Million. Historians then lost track of the necklace until now, as it was spotted on Hannah Husain.

She looked every bit of her royal self in the ball gown, dazzling in her black and yellow dress with minimal makeup and loose tresses.
