While some of the viewers found her acting skills to be authentic, a certain section of netizens has been continuously bashing her and even tagging her skills as 'poor'. While Sharmin went mute as a reaction to the constant bash, her co-star, Rajat Kaul came in support of the actress and gave it back to the trolls.

Rajat Kaul hits back at Sharmin Segal's trollers

For the unversed, Rajat Kaul played the role of 'Iqbal' aka 'Balli' in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Heeramandi. In a recent interview with India Today, Rajat called out those who have been continuously trolling Sharmin. The actor gave a quite sassy answer and mentioned that this 'know-it-all' attitude is very annoying, and it takes a lot of people to form this kind of world within themselves. Rajat added that people really need to learn to empathise with others, and in this way, they will be able to be a bit wiser, and it will enable them to accept others' perspectives. Rajat said:

"This know-it-all attitude can be quite vexing. It takes all kinds of people to form this world and I think what we need to learn as a civilisation and as a society is to be wiser. It's essential to attempt to empathise with others, to understand their perspectives."

In the same interview, Rajat Kaul mentioned that he doesn't want to comment on those who, to him, seem to be discontent with themselves. The actor remarked that people who criticise others actually reflect on themselves. The actor added that there's no control over such things, and Sharmin is no exception. Rajat mentioned:

"As for those who seem perpetually discontent with themselves, I find little to comment on. After all, what one criticises in others often reflects something within themselves. There is no control on that. It is their state of mind, and it has nothing to do with Sharmin or anybody else who goes through all of that.”

Going further in the interview, Rajat Kaul shared that Sharmin Segal has contributed her fair share in the series, just like everybody else. He mentioned that the trolls are nothing but actually superficial, and in general, they lack depth or substance. He also tagged the trolls as frivolous and shallow and added that these trolls will fade away soon.

Sharmin Segal's silent reaction to the criticism

Sharmin Segal's acting skills have been a topic of discussion among gossipmongers since Heeramandi aired on OTT giant, Netflix. While some were busy pointing out the goof-ups she made in her acting spree, others started scrutinising her under the nepotism banner. Amid all this, the actress kept mum and turned off the comment section on her IG, thereby silently ignoring the trolls.
