“I think when Sandeep sir came to narrate the story to me, the title was very different. It was a different title but when he made me hear the story, I remember I said, ‘Sir, one minute.’ I went to the bathroom and didn’t come out for five minutes.”

Revealing the reason behind his act of rushing into the bathroom, Ranbir revealed that the character was very different from his previous roles. Sharing details about the same, Ranbir said:
“I was so scared to play this part because I felt it was so different from all the characters I have done and I am also grateful that he was giving me an opportunity to play a part like this. Not many directors see me in roles like this. And outside, he was smoking cigarettes because he was thinking (he was panicking).”
Ranbir also revealed that he was sceptical about pulling off the character. The actor revealed looking into the mirror in the bathroom as he wanted to see the character in him, just like the way the director had visioned.

In the same show, director, Sandeep Reddy Vanga revealed that he thought it was Ranbir’s style of rejecting a film. Elaborating his thoughts on the same, Ranbir said:
“I narrated the script, the story was over and he said he would be back and left the room. But he won’t come out. I thought it was probably his style of saying no. I thought this was how Hindi actor probably say no when they don’t like scripts.”
The ace director, Sandeep Vanga, has previously directed the blockbuster film, Arjun Reddy and its Hindi version, Kabir Singh. In the same conversation, Sandeep revealed that Ranbir came out of the bathroom, agreed to the film, and hailed the director for the amazing script.
The film, Animal is all set to release on December 1, 2023, and Ranbir fans are eagerly waiting to see the actor in a different avatar.
