Indian actress, Samantha Ruth Prabhu has been going through a tough time. The actress broke down at the trailer launch of her upcoming Telugu mythological drama, Shaakuntalam. For those who don't know, Samantha has been struggling with a rare disease called Myositis. The actress has been going through treatment, but she is back to her work.
On January 9, 2023, Samantha made an appearance for the trailer launch of her upcoming film, Shaakuntalam. A video from the trailer launch has been making rounds on the internet, wherein Samantha broke down while recalling her struggles. However, her fans were left super emotional as the actress tried her best to calm down and was seen laughing while wiping her tears.

In the clip, Samantha was heard saying that no matter how many struggles she faces, her love for cinema won't change. She said:
"No matter how many struggles I face in life, one thing won't change. That's how much I love cinema and cinema loves me back. I strongly believe that this love will grow manifold with Shaakuntalam."
Earlier, in an interview with Suma, Samantha had talked about her rare autoimmune condition called myositis. She shared that some days are good and some days are bad. She also added that there are some days when she feels that she can't take one more step further. Samantha was quoted as saying:
"Some days are good, and some days are bad. There are days when I feel like I can't take one more step further. And there are days when I look back, I feel surprised that I have come so far. I'm here to fight. I’m not the only one, I know that. There are a lot of people who are fighting many battles. We win in the end"
On a lighter note, Samantha also called upon the people and media organisations, who called her condition life-threatening. The actress quipped and said currently she was not dying. She shared:

"I also saw a lot of articles saying that my condition was life-threatening. The stage I'm in is not life-threatening. It's difficult, but I'm here to fight. At least for the time being, I'm not going to die."
Meanwhile, Samantha's film will hit the screens worldwide on February 17, 2023.
