In the world of fashion, it happens sometimes that two celebrities end up wearing the same or similar attire. Some can call it a mere coincidence or copying, but we would like to call it 'fashion inspiration'. There are several instances available in the media, when Bollywood divas like Deepika Padukone, Aishwarya Rai, Priyanka Chopra or Alia Bhatt were spotted wearing outfits similar to some or the other international celebrity.

However, when two women wear the same outfit, their individualistic styling adds a personal touch to their overall look, and this is exactly what makes the difference. Without further ado, let's look at all such instances when a Bollywood gal wore an outfit similar to an International celebrity.

#1. Deepika Padukone wore a red Prabal Gurung gown just like Josephine Skriver

Popular Bollywood actress, Deepika Padukone was seen in Prabal Gurung's waist cut-out thigh-high slit gown at IIFA 2016. She accessorised her look with statement earrings and metallic heels and opted for bold red lips and side-swept voluminous curls to accentuate her overall look. Meanwhile, Josephine Skriver, a Danish model, also donned the same red gown at the BVLGARI Oscars pre-party in 2017. The Victoria’s Secret Angel ditched earrings and opted for a sleek BVLGARI neckpiece and nude heels along with straight hair and subtle makeup. 

#2. Disha Patani took inspiration from Gigi Hadid's bold keyhole gown

Disha Patani wore a black quilted high turtle neck dress featuring full sleeves, a deep keyhole cutout and a high centre slit from the shelves of the popular designer, Nicolas Jebran to the 2017 Filmfare awards. The same dress was worn by the American supermodel, Gigi Hadid to the 2016 American Music Awards. However, Disha and Gigi's makeup, hair and accessories made all the difference. The Indian actress opted for dark kohl-rimmed eyes, wavy open tresses and black heels to complete her look. Meanwhile, Gigi kept her makeup minimal and wore jewellery to accentuate her overall look.

#3. Vaani Kapoor and Serena Williams opted for the same Burberry dress

Once, Vaani Kapoor and former American tennis player, Serena Williams were seen flaunting the exact same outfits on different occasions. The Indian actress wore the silk-printed Burberry dress to the launch event of an international brand. She opted for a belt cinching at her waist and went with minimal makeup and accentuated her look with two-toned Jimmy Choo sandals. On the other hand, the then-mummy-to-be, Serena chose dainty earrings and a neckpiece to accessorise her outfit and opted for a pair of nude heels.

#4. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Kristin Chenoweth's Roberto Cavalli's golden gown

The beautiful Bollywood diva, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan carried an iconic look at the Cannes Film Festival in 2014. She opted for a golden-coloured heavily sequinned Roberto Cavalli gown, which featured a fishtail at its end. The former Miss World accentuated the overall look of the dress by opting for bright red lips and open wavy tresses. While Aishwarya simply rocked in this mermaid dress, American actress, Kristin Chenoweth was the one who wore the dress first. In the same year, the American actress wore it to the Oscars. Kristin went with smoky eyes and nude lips with the gown. 

#5. Katrina Kaif was inspired by Rita Ora's Versace mini dress

Katrina Kaif and Hollywood star, Rita Ora took everyone's breath away in a red Versace dress, which they wore during separate events. The Indian actress chose to accessorise her look with a black belt and black heels, kept her makeup subtle, and her hair open. She wore the dress to a book launch event in August 2015. Meanwhile, Rita opted for a red belt, golden hoops, many rings and thigh-high boots to accentuate her overall look. Moreover, her blonde hair accentuated the beauty of her outfit manifold. She wore the Versace dress to the X Factor photo call event held in July 2015.

#6. When Alia Bhatt took inspiration from actress-singer, Jennifer Lopez

Alia Bhatt was decked up in a Dior dress for the 2013 Vogue Beauty Awards. The outfit comprised a white top and a satin high-slow pleated skirt. The Indian diva kept her hair on one side and chose danglers, a bracelet and nude high heels to complete her look. Meanwhile, JLo was the one who opted for the same Dior dress when she unveiled her star at the Hollywood Walk of Fame in the same year. The only difference in the duo's look is that the American star tied her hair into a bun and opted for black heels to accentuate the beauty of her pricey dress.

#7. Priyanka Chopra and Naomie Harris wore the same Alexander McQueen' dress

Former Miss World, Priyanka Chopra left everyone awestruck when she wore Alexander McQueen's strapless dress featuring a peplum bodice and golden detailing around the waist area. PeeCee donned the dress to the 2014 Filmfare Awards, and she accessorised a pair of earrings. Moreover, she kept her wavy short hair to one side and used ounces of makeup to complete her look. Meanwhile, Naomie also opted for a similar styling except her lips, which the American actress kept nude. She attended the royal premiere of Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom in 2013 wearing the same dress.

#8. Kangana Ranaut was inspired by Emma Stone's chic look in Burberry dress

Kangana Ranaut was once inspired by the glamour of the Hollywood actress, Emma Stone, who took everyone's breath away in a sequined green skirt and blue bustier top from Burberry. While the Indian beauty wore the same dress to an event in 2013, Emma, on the other hand, flaunted her hourglass figure in the gorgeous dress at a fashion awards in 2012. Kangana tied her hair into a bun and wore bright red lipstick to complement her look. Meanwhile, Emma kept her makeup subtle and let her natural beauty do all the talking.

#9. Kareena Kapoor and Kim Kardashian wore the same Tim Ford bodycon dress

Kareena Kapoor wore Tim Ford's black bodycon dress featuring puffed-full sleeves and a unique golden belt during the 2013 book launch of Rochelle Pinto's The Style Diary of A Bollywood Diva. The Bollywood diva opted for subtle makeup with bright red lips, which accentuated her overall look. Meanwhile, the American socialite, Kim Kardashian wore the same dress in 2012 at the signing event of her perfume brand. She chose a wet hair look and went with kohl-rimmed eyes and nude lips.

#10. Malaika Arora and Paris Hilton opted for Monot's risque dress

Malaika Arora, who is popular for her bold looks, once wore a risque cut-out dress, exactly what the American businesswoman, Paris Hilton had donned. The backless dress was from the brand, Monot, and even featured a back centre slit. The Indian beauty completed her look with emerald jewellery and a uniquely tied hairdo. Paris, on the other hand, ditched jewels and instead went with a pair of gloves. She kept her blonde tresses open to accentuate the beauty of the dress. Both Malaika and Paris wore the Monot dress in March 2023.
