Bollywood biggie, Karan Johar, best described the feeling which every young couple was going through seeing Virushka’s wedding pics, by tweeting this:
“Anushka and Virat’s wedding images have tapped into almost everyone’s romantic instincts!! The singles are feeling a pang and the couples are feeling the love...( or the lack of it) ....ok am going back to staring at them!”
KJo was so correct in describing this! Don’t you agree? After Virushka’s wedding pics went viral, every young couple was seen saying the same thing- “Hope we get married the same way?”, “Our wedding will be like Virushka’s, right?”….and so on.

Now, just when you’re finished thinking about these questions, you may ask yourself as to what makes Virushka such an adorable couple? Looks? Glamour? Successful careers? Well, definitely, these things add up, but what makes them the best couple is that they’re breaking stereotypes.
We’ve often heard that in Bollywood, marriage means the end of your career. And this is where Anushka stands out from the herd. She broke this taboo by marrying at a young age of 29 and that too when her career is at its heights. With back to back successes in films like Sultan and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, plus a production house of her own releasing films like NH10, only Anushka could have thought to take such a bold step.

Anushka is not a typical Indian bride who adheres to patriarchy. The fact that as soon as she will be done with all the post-wedding functions like her reception party in India, and possibly a long honeymoon, she will get back to work itself is a matter of pride for every young girl who wants to work even after marriage. She has two upcoming films at the start of 2018- Sanju (Sanjay Dutt biopic) and her own production house, Clean Slate Films’- Pari.

This is where Virat has broken all stereotypes. As we all know that on the advice of his fellow teammate, Zaheer Khan, he decided not to hide his relationship and this advice paid off really well. Every young couple in India wants to be like Virushka and every Indian girl wishes her beau to be like Virat. And it’s not just Virat’s gestures before his wedding, but even during and post-wedding. The way he treated her, the way he looked at her during the wedding ceremonies, speak volumes of love and respect that he has for Anushka. How many grooms have you seen standing and getting up to receive her bride on the wedding stage? How many husbands have you seen hugging her bride after exchanging rings? And even his tweet right after marrying was so adorably vocal. Check it out:
