They say time flies. When you look back, you feel like it was just yesterday that a particular event took place while actually, days and months have passed by. So, as one of our readers approached us to help her surprise her husband on their first wedding anniversary by reliving their wedding moments once again, we thought of getting her simple yet sweet wedding story for our readers.
Love stories do not have to be over-the-top or filmy to be sweet and likeable. Sometimes, simplicity is the best policy and that is why this story is very relatable for all. So without further ado, hop on as we take you on a romantic ride through the wedding story of Arjun who works in Gurgaon and Deepika who is in a private company in New Delhi.

You know how we hear of Facebook helping people meet after ages, catching up and becoming more than just friends? Yeah, this is one of those instances. Although the two had been schoolmates, they lost all contact after school got over. Years later, Deepika looked up her Facebook friends and came across Arjun, and the rest as they say, was history. The two started chatting with each other quite often. Soon, they decided to meet and after that, they preferred spending most of their time together. They became very fond of each other and there soon came a point where both of them realised that they were destined to be together.
Then, they decided to tell their respective families about each other, and when they did, both the families decided a date to meet. After the first meeting itself, which took place on the August 25, 2014, their roka was fixed for just five days later, and the festivities began! In a mere span of just two months, everything starting from booking all the venues, buying the wedding outfits, booking the caterers, buying the jewellery and every other minute detail was arranged for. Both the families put their best foot forward to make this wedding a hit.

Even though all the arrangements were done in just five days, the roka ceremony that took place on October 26, 2014, was a well-organised affair and a hit amongst the guests. The venue for the ceremony was the very popular, The Panchshila Rendezvous in Malviya Nagar in Delhi. While the bride wore a pink and golden ankle length anarkali suit, her would-be-groom matched her attire as he too wore a pink shirt with black trousers.
The couple danced and took selfies with their family and friends, the ceremony went off perfectly well.
One of the most important part of weddings these days, their pre-wedding shoot was done by a reputed photographer, Manoj Grover who is again, based in Malviya Nagar. The photo shoot was done at the scenic Hauz Khas Village in South Delhi, and their out-of-the-box and candid poses came out exceptionally well. Take a look.

Next, came the engagement on October 29, 2014. And, for their engagement too, the cupid-struck, madly in love couple chose to go the matching way. While the bride wore this stunning deep blue net-sleeved gown, Arjun wore a well-fitted suit with the same blue-coloured tie. They looked like a match made in heaven in every way.

Arjun’s clothes were bought from Saffire, Malviya Nagar and Indigo, South Extension and the bride did all her shopping from Simran, Lajpat Nagar.
Both the families looked very happy with this union and all the guests were seen having a gala time as well.

The next function was the mehendi on October 30, 2014, which both the families decided should be a joint affair.
It was again held at the The Panchshila Rendezvous, same place that was booked for the roka. While the bride wore a beautiful and ethnic orange-coloured salwar suit with the traditional floral jewellery, Arjun looked like a true pathan in a black kurta pyjama.

The venue, the couple, the mehendi design and the food, everything was truly a delight!
The one ceremony that every North Indian bride waits for, more than any other function is the chooda ceremony. And, it arrived for this bride too on the morning of October 31, that is, her wedding day.
