She left her hair loose on the kalire ceremony, along with flower jewellery, and looked super cute. Ditching the traditional heavy jewellery look, Mira wore a beautiful Navratna haar with a jhoomar on her head that looked oh-so-elegant. Her hairstyle too was simple yet classy. It was a simple bun decorated with flowers, visible through her pretty net dupatta.
For all those of you who were wondering why Mira did not wear a chooda, well here is some news! The beautiful bride went a step ahead to be different from the usual and wore a pink chooda that matched her wedding outfit. We loved that bold move and are even bigger fans of the lady ever since!
The highlight of the wedding was surely the romantic yet catchy signboards that had- the couple's name along with the wedding date, an arrow for shoes, an arrow for the vows and one for the love that was in the air and everywhere. Not to forget, the white flower curtains that added elegance and beauty to the décor.

Instead of spending thousands of rupees on orchid and other expensive flowers for the varmala ceremony the couple exchanged yellow rose garlands. The yellow flowers also matched their pastel coloured wedding outfits really well.
Designer Ravish Kapoor designed the wedding card for this ‘Bollywood shaadi of the year’. He said that it was Shahid’s parents who wanted something simple and elegant, with white and turquoise in it. They also were in favour of giving a gift with the card that was different, memorable and Indian. The card thus, came with boxes of four different types of tea flavours, and the finest honey in the country; all Indian in origin. Coming to the design, Ravish Kapoor said, "The card uses fine stock papers, uses great embossing technology and plating to give it that beautiful look. We used laser cutting to create the elegance of the box. Shahid did not want to use too much gold– so there are just a few touches here and there, the rest is the design in white and turquoise which speaks for itself."

From the bride’s outfit to the farmhouse’s décor, pastels and pretty flowers seemed to be the theme of the day. The colour scheme for the mehendi and the sangeet venue was pink, yellow and beige. The bronze bells and pinwheel decorations were something very unusual but looked good when teamed up together. There were no over the top drapes or exorbitant decorations.
The reception dinner took place on the same evening at The Oberoi in Gurgaon. The dinner was attended by about 500 guests, all being the close family members and friends of the couple. The venue looked classy and chic with a pink and white colour scheme, and flower and glass table settings.
She wore it right and carried it off like a pro! Now that is how it is done, ladies. If you too wish to wear a dual dupatta, Mira’s picture is what you need to show your stylist. Long enough to drape the entire waist and perfectly pinned to let her be comfortable.
The best part of this wedding was Mira’s decision of getting a light and simple mehendi design. Just because you are the bride, it does not necessarily mean you need to cover yourself up in henna. It is your wedding, have it your way, ladies!

And, the biggest highlight from the wedding you ask? Without a doubt, there would be a tie for this position. One being the post-wedding selfie that Shahid posted online with a tagline that said #hitched. The second being the moment the two came out to pose for the media hand-in-hand, much in love post their wedding ceremony. They looked really cute and romantic indeed!
