Generally, women are more organised in storing their toiletries, more particular about ensuring that the bathroom is always dry, neat and clean, and also regular with changing the bathroom fresheners from time to time.

Men, on the other hand are the complete opposite. For them, clean- not clean, fragrant- not so fragrant, wet- dry; doesn’t really make a big difference. They are cool with anything as long as they have space to do their business!

Accept it or not, regardless of how a woman loves her husband and vice versa, there are several things that can create the smallest or the biggest of fights when it comes to sharing a bathroom. #1. Mark your territory

The area where you keep your stuff like your makeup, your medicines and your expensive shampoos and sprays should be out of your husband’s reach right from day one. Being as careless and frisky as men are, not marking your territory clearly can cost you your expensive cosmetics and other products.

#2. Tell him it’s mandatory to put the seat down

Remind him again and again to do that unless you want to fall in the pot in the wee hours of the morning because he forgot to put the seat down.

#3. Buy shower curtains with pockets

So that you can place your shower caps, tick tacks, rubber bands and other small things that you need while taking a shower but can easily get misplaced, all thanks to your dearest husband.

#4. Have two separate cabinets

One in which you can keep your bathing products, sanitary napkins, cosmetics, styling rods etc, and the other one in which he can keep his shaving kit, trimmers, deodorants etc.

#5. Separate medicine shelves as well

It is difficult to differentiate which medicine belongs to whom if the name gets torn off the cover. Thus, to be on the safer side, have separate shelves for your medicines too. Remember, storage space in the washroom is very important and so, get cabinets customised to your choice.

#6. Make sure your towels are of different colours

So that both of you know which one belongs to whom unless you want to be greeted with men’s body hair because you accidently used his towel.

#7. You both use the washroom; you both need to clean it

So divide your cleaning routine or have areas demarcated for each.

If he doesn’t listen, you can blackmail him a little by hiding his favourite video game etc. Because, sometimes just saying doesn’t work.

#9. Install shelves and hanging hooks

Wall shelves don’t take up much space and besides they help to avoid fights on space issues. And with wall hooks, you can allot a few hooks to each, so that you both have hanging space for your used clothes.

Believe us, bathroom fresheners can actually be the reason behind fights. So decide on something which is neither too girly/flowery nor too manly. Basically, you can decide on one unisex fragrance that you both love.
