Excessive drinking, as we all know, dehydrates your system. Thus, the first thing you need to do in case of a hangover is to rehydrate yourself. A glass of water first thing in the morning, can reduce the impact of the hangover.

It will rehydrate you while balancing the electrolytes that were lost due to the diuretic effect of alcohol. Another big help would be a bottle of soda.
