Famous singer, Aadesh Shrivastva's wife, Vijayta Pandit, has been through a lot after her husband's succumbed to death in 2015 due to cancer. Vijayta openly revealed how her industry friends never came to support her in her tough times, and she alone took care of her two kids, Avitesh Shrivastava and Anivesh Shrivastava.
Before Aadesh, Vijayta was married to Sameer Malkan, which was short-lived. But before him, she was madly in love with Kumar Gaurav, which ended on a sour note because of his father, Rajendra Kumar. For the first time, Vijayta shared details of her life and how her life panned out over the years.
Vijayta Pandit and Kumar Gaurav fell head-over-heels in love while shooting their first debut film, Love Story, in 1981. However, their love ended on a bitter note due to Kumar Gaurav's father, Rajendra Kumar, who was against their union. Recently, in an interview with Lehren Retro, Vijayta happily revealed how millions loved their on-screen chemistry during that time.
Vijayta admitted that she was dating Kumar Gaurav, but his father, Rajendra Kumar was upset with this fact. Despite this, Kumar Gaurav would meet her and spend time with her in between the shots. Vijayta called it 'innocent love' where they both loved each other's company. Vijayta lovingly called him 'Bunty' and revealed that after getting drunk, his father, Rajendra Kumar, would fire him. He would ask him to stop his romance, but Kumar Gaurav never listened.
Vijayta further revealed that their love story was short-lived as Rajendra Kumar got his son, Kumar Gaurav, married to Reema Kapoor. She had even attended Kumar Gaurav's engagement with Reema Kapoor. In fact, after seeing his engagement ring, Vijayta innocently admired it by saying, "Itna bada diamond." However, in anger, Kumar Gaurav removed the ring. Seeing this, Vijayta left it as she didn't want to create the scene.
Vijayta revealed that Kumar Gaurav would keep visiting her home, even after getting engaged. But it was her mother, who was a Krishan bhakt, and asked him to stop visiting her daughter. To this, Kumar Gaurav claimed that he would get married to her, after which he even swore that he would get married to her or he would never get married.
After being heartbroken by Kumar Gaurav, Vijayta worked hard to re-establish herself. She made a comeback with films like Mohabbat, Misal, Jeete He Shaan Se and many more. While Vijayta was trying to make a mark in the industry, love knocked on her door again in the form of her film's director, Sameer Malkan. Vijayta got married to Sameer Malkan in 1986, but their wedding was short-lived, and they parted ways.
Vijayta, who was healing from the pain of her broken marriage, met Aadesh firs time in America. In an interview with Lehren Retro, Vijayta revealed that Aadesh was a friend of her brothers, Jatin and Lalit. The actress further shared that Aadesh would make her laugh. She shared that she started liking him as she was heartbroken, and soon he proposed to her in front of her brothers that he wanted to get married to her.
Further in the interview, Vijayta revealed that she told her mother that Aadesh proposed her to get married. She shared that her mother asked her to get married as he is a good person and he is a sweet-spoken man. Her mother also told him that they would have lovely kids. Vijayta got married to Aadesh in 1991. She revealed that she was happiest after getting married to him. They soon became parents to two lovely boys.
Talking about Aadesh Shrivastava's cancer diagnosis, she shared that they decided to go for a full body checkup in 2010. While her reports came out to be normal, Aadesh was diagnose with blood cancer. They went everywhere to cure him, but everything was in vain, as his health kept deteriorating, However, Vijayta stood like a rock, and she made sure to take care of his legacy and their kids as a single woman.
Vijayta revealed that her husband, Aadesh, wanted their kids to study, and their younger son was still in school when he passed away. The veteran actress proudly revealed that she never asked anyone for help, and got his studies completed and soon her son is going to be a psychiatrist.
Well, Vijayta's life journey is filled with ups and downs, but she proved that she is a strong woman, and stood like a pillar for her family, even after her husband, Aadesh's tragic demise!
