As Aaliyah Kashyap and Shane Gregoire celebrate their mehendi ceremony, we came across a few pictures of them showing off their unique mehendi designs. Well, let's just say their chosen art doesn't just showcase their love for each other but also their adoration for their fur babies! Aaliyah's mehendi artist took to Instagram with a few pictures of the to-be-wed couple, and the first featured Aaliyah showing off her henna art with a big smile on her face.
Aaliyah's mehendi design included a dog at the centre of one palm and a cat on the other. Another picture showed Aaliyah posing with her mehendi artist as the latter worked on her hands. Aaliyah's fiance, Shane opted for a more minimalistic mehendi design. However, he took a leaf out of his to-be wife's book and went with a tiny dog and a cat on one palm. Adorably, his other palm featured Aaliyah's name written inside a heart.
The cute duo also seemed to be twinning in pastel blue outfits for the happy day. Aaliyah looked stunning in a powder blue ethnic suit with a dupatta in the same shade placed on her shoulder. Shane, on the other hand, donned a similarly-hued blue kurta-pyjama. Along with Aaliyah, her bestie, Khushi Kapoor applied mehendi for the couple's pre-wedding festivities as well. Khushi took to her Instagram story with a picture that flaunted her minimalist henna art.
For the unversed, Aaliyah Kashyap and Shane Grogoire's haldi ceremony took place yesterday, December 8, in Mumbai. The pictures of the couple's fun-filled festivities went viral soon after they were uploaded to social media. The first featured Aaliyah being embraced by her doting fiance, Shane.
Other pictures featured the couple sharing a passionate kiss, posing together, and radiating pure joy while surrounded by their loved ones. In most of the glimpses, the couple was seen smeared in haldi and flower petals. The bride-to-be's loving father, Anurag Kashyap also dropped the cutest photo from the pre-wedding soiree, and it featured his daughter looking drop-dead gorgeous in a yellow-hued ensemble. Shane, on the other hand, donned a white dhoti.
Shane Gregoire first popped the question to Aaliyah Kashyap on May 20, 2023. In a vlog following the big moment, the latter gave her followers a run-down of how the proposal went. Shane had wanted to keep the proposal very intimate and between just him and Aaliyah as that was more suited to their style. Further, Aaliyah revealed that Shane managed to get her the dream wedding ring she had wanted for years. According to her, they had both been left in tears after the emotional moment.
"We got engaged yesterday. I was not expecting it to happen. Oh my God guys. Look at this ring. He did such a good job with this ring. It’s literally my dream ring that I’ve had on my Pinterest for god knows how many long. He did such a good job. We were both crying a lot yesterday. I was crying for three hours straight."
