Aamir Khan's daughter, Ira Khan in a podcast reveals the real reason why her husband, Nupur ran to their wedding venue. She shared a romantic backstory that left us in awe!
Bollywood actor, Aamir Khan's daughter, Ira Khan legally registered her wedding in Mumbai on January 3, 2024, with the fitness coach, Nupur Shikhare. Their love story culminated in a white wedding in Udaipur on January 10, 2023. The couple had a registered marriage on January 3, 2024, at Taj Lands End in Bandra. The highlight of the wedding was how Nupur ran more than 8 km to his wedding venue.
Ira Khan recently sat for an interview with Pinkvilla, and she shared that Nupur ran to their wedding as he did not want to climb on an animal. For the unversed, Nupur jogged from Santa Cruz to Bandra to reach his wedding venue, marking a total distance of 8 km. Ira added that this was the same route Nupur used to take on a regular basis to meet her during COVID-19. Hence, it seemed normal for him to run the distance, as it is something he often did when they were dating.
Ira added that during Covid, they did not meet for long as they lived in different parts of Mumbai, so when the lockdown restriction eased out and people were allowed to come on streets to workout and run, Nupur would religiously take the route to meet her. He would run to her everyday and he wanted to the same for their wedding.
Ira Khan and Nupur Shikhare first had their civil wedding on January 3, 2024, and later had a grand wedding soiree on January 10, 2023. From mehendi to sangeet to a lavish white wedding, Ira and Nupur left no stone unturned to mark the affair a grand one. The couple later hosted a reception in Mumbai where all the Bollywood dignitaries marked attendance.
On January 13, 2024, the newly wedded couple, Ira Khan and Nupur Shikhare, celebrated their union with a gala reception in Mumbai. The event was a star-studded affair, with all the A-listers from Bollywood in attendance. The couple’s stunning attire for the occasion, however, stole the show. Ira looked resplendent in a red lehenga adorned with intricate golden zari and embroidery work, paired with a matching halter-neck choli and a red dupatta with golden lace work. Nupur, on the other hand, looked dashing in a black bandhgala sherwani paired with matching pyjamas.
