Aamir Khan's son, Junaid is all set to debut in Bollywood with the film, 'Maharaj'. He slammed the nepotism debate once and for all as he debuts without any extravagant promotions or PR activities.
Aamir Khan is undoubtedly one of the greatest stars of Bollywood. Having been in the industry for over two decades and having given several hits, Aamir has established himself as one of the most successful actors in the film industry. So, naturally, we will assume that just like every other starkid, his children will also have an extravagant launch in Bollywood. However, this is not the case, and his son, Junaid, is making his debut in the industry without much noise.
Junaid Khan is all set to debut in Bollywood with his film, Maharaj, which will grace the silver screen on June 14, 2024. While we all expected that Junaid would have a lavish launch like the other starkids, the junior Khan proved that he is here to make a mark for himself based on his talent and not depending on PR activities.

Apart from the film's official poster no such promotion has come to the forefront. So much so that many aren't even aware that Aamir Khan's son is making his debut on June 14, 2024. This maybe is a planned move to avoid the nepotism debate that is currently on the rise due to the back-to-back disappointing performances of starkids such as Suhana Khan, Sharmin Segal, and many others.
Nepotism has always existed in the industry, but the debate got heated after Sushant Singh Rajput's death in 2020. The cherry on the cake was the disappointing performances of the starkids. The current victim of the debate is Sharmin Segal. The actress failed to impress viewers with her acting and was subsequently mocked a lot on social media.

Similarly, last year, Zoya Akhtar's film, The Archie was not received well by viewers as it launched Shah Rukh Khan's daughter, Suhana Khan, Sridevi's daughter, Khushi Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan's grandson, Agastya Nanda. The trio was critiqued for their acting and for easily getting a big launch via connections. While the debate is still piping hot, it will be interesting to see if the audience will embrace Junaid or if his debut will get the same fate as other star kids.
