Marriage is the most paawan bandhan that ever exists, but to maintain this, requires tumults of efforts, loving each other’s parents like your own, loving each other, epiphany for the times you have fights, making it up to each other and standing by each other’s side in the highs and lows. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan had decided on forever on the sets of Guru, even though the duo had worked on many films together before. Aishwarya had also shared an interesting proposal story of Abhishek, wherein, he had proposed to his ladylove with a plastic ring used on the same film set! While we will share the details later, let us update you that Aishwarya and Abhishek complete 12 years into their blissful marriage today (April 20, 2019) and for the same, the couple along with their little daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan, has flown down to the Maldives to celebrate their union. As the clock struck 12 on the befall of their anniversary night, Abhishek Bachchan took to Instagram and posting a picture of his ‘most beautiful woman in the world’, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, wrote a quirky anniversary post for his wife. With a pink light falling on her, hair tied in a top bun, wearing a blue maxi dress with complementing neckpiece, and the moon and sea in the far horizon, the picture that Junior Bachchan had shared was a treat to the eyes! The caption could be read as, “Honey and the moon. @niyamamaldives #niyamamaldives #edge.” But the cutest thing was Aaradhya Bachchan turning paparazzi for her star parents! Aishwarya too took to Instagram and posting a picture of the both of them sitting together, wrote, “Our Togetherness captured by The Divine Light of Our Lives LOVE YOU AARADHYA.” Here are the pictures:
In a rather interesting revelation with Famously Filmfare, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan had spoken about having arguments with hubby, Abhishek Bachchan. She had shared, “It has been 12 years and how many years before that we’ve known each other as friends. We’ve known each other for quite a long time. We’ve always conversed a lot and communicated a lot, in all its shades, in all the colours of the rainbow.” The doting wifey had also shared, “It feels like yesterday and what’s funny is that everyone else thinks so too. It’s going to be 12 years in April and it’s flown by, which is a great sign. Recalling their roka moment, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan had shared in an interview, “He proposed, which was amazing! And it happened like really suddenly, she said. I didn’t even know there’s something called a roka’ ceremony. We are South Indians, so, I don’t know what a roka’ is and suddenly there is this call from their house to ours; 'we are coming’'". She had further shared, “Abhishek was like we are all coming and I can’t stop dad. We are on our way. We are coming to your place’. I’m like, Oh my God!’ So, this roka’ is happening with a call to my father, who is out of town." But, she said, 'Mum is here, we are here. They’ve all arrived home, they are emotional and all. I’m like, Oh my God, it’s happening.' Then it’s like, come on, let’s go home’. I’m like, Mom, okay... is this...is this an engagement? Like, what just happened?’"
After the birth of their daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan had stated in an interview, “Overnight, we went from being dearest of friends to looking to being a couple and starting a family together, you know how quickly that happened.” She further spoke about Abhishek and added, he’s a friend, companion, husband and a father, but I think the fact that he’s my bestest friend pretty much encapsulates it all. We are a very normal couple. Abhishek and I sometimes joke about being second siblings. We both share and talk a lot about what we are feeling. Sometimes, we have so much to say that we want to be the first to share it.
