Aayush Sharma addresses fallout with brother-in-law, Salman Khan for a previous project owing to creative differences and reveals how he must earn back his opportunity.
Aayush Sharma has been one such actor who has ceaselessly tried to make his space in the film fraternity, purely out of his own mettle and creative genius. For the unversed, he shares a special equation with Bollywood’s superstar, Salman Khan. Well, he is married to bhaijaan’s sister, Arpita Khan. Ever since his debut, Aayush has been backed by Salman Khan’s immense support, as the latter has not only launched him under his wing, but also plated several successive opportunities in his way.
In a recent interaction with Bollywood Hungama, Aayush Sharma talked about his fallout with his brother-in-law, Salman Khan. For the unversed, it happened when the former was supposed to be a part of the latter’s film, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, however, he dropped out of the project owing to creative differences with the superstar. And now, since Aayush is all set to work for a different production house for his next, Ruslaan and not that of Salman’s, the actor addressed the matter. Expressing his intention to step out, he said:
“It is not like that, it is my house. No actor works with only one production house. Honestly, it is very funny, but my choices have been in a lot of discussions. There are many actors who have worked in their comfort zone, worked with a particular production house, then went out, then went back to the same production house. I wanted to step out, my intention is to go out there.”

Speaking along the same lines, Aayush admitted that his brother-in-law and superstar, Salman Khan has been a massive support in his career, and his endeavours has been unparalleled. He talked about getting an opportunity to work with a massive star like Salman for his second film, Antim and remarked that it was indeed something plated for him. Nevertheless, he emphasised that the ultimate journey in his career must remain his own. In his words:
“You don’t get to play such an important role in your second film, in a movie which has Salman. It was not a guest appearance of 5-7 minutes, he was an important character in the film. Somewhere down the line, the story revolves around my character. This opportunity you don’t get (often), but I got it. I have to be grateful, understand that this is the biggest support I can ever get. Now the journey has to be mine.”
In the concluding segment of the interaction, Aayush Sharma expressed that he doesn’t feel equivalent to continue working under a production house, that is safe guarded and belongs to his family. He expressed that he must explore and evolve more, and be worthy enough to be called back. Aayush added:
“I cannot keep working only in the family, in a closed set-up, because then my growth would also be stunted. It was a conscious decision to move out of the family for sometime to work outside. It was important for me to grow, learn myself, evolve and be worthy enough to be called back.”
