Aayush Sharma revealed how his parents reacted after he expressed his wish to marry Arpita Khan at the age of 24 while having no money of his own.
Arpita Khan's husband, Aayush Sharma stepped into Bollywood back in 2018 with the movie, Loveyatri. Apart from that, he was also seen in Antim: The Final Truth alongside Salman Khan. For the unversed, Aayush got married to Salman's sister, Arpita, back in 2014 at the Taj Falaknuma Palace in Hyderabad. The duo is blessed with two adorable kids, Ahil and Ayat. Recently, Aayush revealed his parents' reaction when he told them about his wish to marry Arpita at the age of 24 while having no money of his own.
Recently, Aayush Sharma graced Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiya’s podcast on their YouTube channel. While being there, the actor took a trip down memory lane and recalled what his parents had said after he expressed his desire to marry Salman Khan's sister. Aayush mentioned that after hearing the same, his parents were shocked, and they were a bit sceptical as Aayush is from a political background while Arpita is from a filmy family.

For the unversed, when Arpita Khan got married to Aayush Sharma the latter was 24 years old and was unemployed. However, when he first broke down his wish to marry Arpita to his parents, the actor's father asked him how he would take care of the diva and carry her expenses. Aayush's father had said, "Kaam tu kuch karta nahi hai, paise tu kama nai raha, upar se shaadi kar raha hai woh bhi aise ladki se jiske paas itna paisa hai. Uske kharche kaise uthayega?” Aayush asked his father if the latter would take care of Arpita's expenses till he decide what to do in his life. He asked his dad, "Main nai uthaunga, aap uthaoge na?” To this, Aayush's father asked him why the former should pay the bills. Aayush recalled his father saying:
"Shaadi tune kiya, pyaar tune kiya, bill mai bharu?”
In the same conversation, Aayush Sharma stated that although his father was cool with everything, his mom was a bit worried about whether things would align between the two families that have different backgrounds. However, after managing everything in his family, Aayush introduced them to the Khans. Aayush stated that his family members just loved the Khan family's values. Aayush recalled that after watching Salman, his mom had said, 'Yeh to bohot good looking hai.' When Aayush's father had asked Arpita Khan if she would move to Mandi, Salman chipped in and stated that whenever Aayush would want to take her there, she would follow him. Aayush reacalled that Salman had said:
"Wherever Aayush decides to go, Arpita will follow him. You don’t worry about it.”

Back in 2014, Arpita Khan and Aayush Sharma got married in a dreamy wedding at the Taj Falaknuma Palace, which was one of the extravagant ones back at that time. As per several reports, the wedding had cost a whopping amount of Rs. 2 crore. For the day, Arpita stunned in a maroon lehenga by Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla. The then-groom opted for a sherwani designed by the Hyderabadi Makhdoom Brothers.
