Days after confirming Anushka Sharma's second pregnancy, AB De Villiers shared that he made a terrible mistake by announcing the fake news.
Anushka Sharma is reportedly pregnant with her and Virat Kohli's second child. The duo is previously blessed with a baby girl, Vamika Sharma Kohli. For the unversed, Virat and Anushka haven't addressed the ongoing speculations surrounding the actress' pregnancy, and their fans are waiting for them to announce the good news. Amid the ongoing buzz, AB de Villiers confirmed that Virat and Anushka are expecting their second child together.
However, now in an interview with Dainik Bhaskar, AB de Villiers reacted to his old revelation and revealed that he shared false information. The cricketer added that he made a terrible mistake and wished the best of luck to Virat so that the latter can comeback stronger from the issues in his personal life. He was heard saying:
“Family comes first it’s the priority as I said on my YouTube channel, I made a terrible mistake at the same time, sharing false information, which was not true at all. I think whatever’s best for Virat’s family comes first. No one knows what’s happening there, all I can do is wish him well. Whatever the reason for his break, I hope he can comeback stronger, better and fresh from this.”

On February 3, 2024, AB de Villiers shared a YouTube video and talked about Virat Kohli's absence from the Test Series, adding that everything was alright at the Indian cricketer's personal front. AB de Villiers further lauded Virat for prioritising his family and shared that the former India captain and his wife, Anushka Sharma were expecting their second child. He had said:
"Let me just see what he said. I just want to at least give you (fans) a little bit of love. So I wrote to him 'Been wanting to check in with you for a while now, biscuits. How are you?'. He said 'Just need to be with my family right now. I am doing well.'. Yes, his second child is on the way. Yes, it's family time and things are important to him. If you are not true and genuine to yourself, you lose track of what you are here for. I think most people's priority is family. You can't judge Virat for that."
Back in November 2023, Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli took the internet down with their oh-so-adorable pictures from their 6th wedding anniversary celebration. The duo had an intimate ball party in London, which was attended by some of their close friends. Anushka, who is rumoured to be pregnant, opted for a classy black dress. Her strapless outfit had a flowy silhouette and some stone embellishments on the upper border. On the other hand, Virat looked dapper in black formal wear paired with white sneakers. Anushka was seen wrapping her arms around Virat as they mushily posed for the camera together.

Meanwhile, in some other pictures from the celebration that surfaced online, Anushka was seen hiding behind Virat or other guests. The actress, who is allegedly pregnant, was seemingly trying to hide her baby bump from other people. Soon, the pictures were widely circulated on Reddit, and netizens reacted to them. They flooded the post's comment section with their reactions. While some respected the actress' decision to hide her pregnancy amid the media scrutiny, others slammed her for creating unnecessary drama.
