The Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 is getting global attention. The spiritual festival began on the Triveni Sangam where Ganga, Yamuna and the mythical river, Saraswati meet in Uttar Pradesh's Prayagraj. The Maha Kumbh will go on till February 26, 2025, and devotees from all walks of life have come to take part in the rituals. Photos of baba's, aghori's from the Kumbh have gone viral and amid this, IIT Baba has hogged the attention. Also known as Abhay Singh, he claims to have studied at IIT Bombay and his recent video on the Satyugi concept of treating parents as God has gone viral.
Abhay claims to have done his graduation from IIT-Bombay graduate in Aerospace Engineering. He has turned heads from joining spirituality from a technical line. A clip of the spiritual seeker has gone viral where he said Kalyugi parents have passed generational trauma and to not let their kids do things differently. He begins the reel by saying namaskaram and that he will again touch on the same topic which is the parental trap, especially in Bharat which has immense impact. He said:
"Most of these sayings like meko papa ke liye ghar banana hai, people take it so proudly. Maine yeh kar dia mummy papa ke liye yeh karna hai. Lot of this is perpetuated because of so called spiritual teachings also. They are like maa baap hi bhagwan hai. Maa baap bhagwan nai hai yaar. Maa baap ko bhi bhagwan ne banaya hai. Matlab kya hai yeh? Logo ka dekhne ka alag tarika hai. Satyug wala concept tum kalyug mei use kar rahe hoh basically."
He also shared Satyug concept cannot be used in Kalyug as parents aren't like god's. If you ask the children of Lord Krishna, they will find him as a god as he has that quality. He also said in India parents raise their kids like they are raising horses. They are raised, made to work. He added:
"Yeh soch hoti hai. Maa baap bhagwan kuch nai bhai kalyug ka trap hai yeh tumhare liye. O tumhara iss janam main maa-baap hain, wo kya pata kya honge agle janam main, ek aatma ka safar sirf uska hota hai - nahi to maa-baap, patni beta sab kuch tyag dene wale Buddha bhagwan nahi hote."
Abhay Singh hails from Haryana and has completed his Aerospace Engineering from IIT Bombay. He did not join the corporate world but taught Physics in Kochi. He shared his journey was not about technology or science. His interest in philosophy mixed with his engineering knowledge made him question the realiity of existence. Abhay left the material world and called it the best stage of his life to seek spiritual knowledge and realise that life has a deeper meaning.
