Abhishek Bachchan opened up about showing gratitude to Aishwarya for looking after Aaradhya.
Shoojit Sircar directed Abhishek Bachchan's latest movie, I Want To Talk, which has received a lot of praise from his fans. They are hailing him for his comeback. The plot revolves around the complex dynamics of a father-daughter relationship through the eyes of Arjun Sen, essayed by Abhishek. Lately, the actor opened up about his bond with his daughter, Aaradhya, and thanked his wife, Aishwarya.
During an interview with the Hindu, Abhishek reflected upon the sacrifices made by Aishwarya. This was because director Shoojit Sircar reflected upon the sacrifices Jaya Bachchan made for her children Abhishek and Shweta. It was here that Abhishek mentioned:
"In my household, I’m lucky I get to go out and make movies but I know that Aishwarya is at home with Aaradhya and I thank her immensely for that but I don’t think the kids look at it that way. They don’t look at you as a third person, they look at you as the first person."
Abhishek was grateful for Aishwarya and thanked her for showing unconditional support. He also expressed gratitude to his father, megastar Amitabh Bachchan and his mom Jaya, who made time for them. Big B, despite having a busy work life, always made time for his kids. Junior Bachchan also revealed that he was never left alone as a child, credits to the sacrifices made by his mom, Jaya. She stepped away from the acting world and raised her kids. Abhishek quipped:
"My mother stopped acting when I was born because she wanted to spend time with the children. We never felt the void of dad not being around. I think at the end of the day after work, you come home at night."
Going ahead, Abhishek revealed that being a father comes with its own set of responsibilities. He felt kids are a great source of inspiration, and one can climb mountains on one leg if one has the responsibility of a child. He said this with profound respect for mothers and women because nobody can do what they do, but a father does it all quietly because he doesn’t know how to express or demonstrate it. He also felt that it was a flaw for men, but they always stuck around for their children.
In an interview with Times Now Digital, Shoojit mentioned knowing Abhishek for a while. They have played football together. Whenever Shoojit would eat lunch with Amitabh, Abhishek used to walk into the set. He would say, 'let's have lunch', and he would come and meet Mr. Bachchan, and they would have their own time. During his interaction, Shoojit found Abhishek very gentle, a nice human being, and well-behaved.
Abhishek's personal life has hogged a lot of negativity owing to rumours about a possible split between him and Aishwarya. The power couple has not addressed this issue, but Abhishek has handled the situation with grace and has not let negativity affect his work. In an interview with ETimes, he revealed how he believed in ''dhridhta" (tenacity). He believed in staying true to your own self, amid changing times. He knows to find hope during challenging times, just like his character Arjun Sen. His principles do not change as he said:
"Jab bura apni buraai na chhode, toh accha apni acchai kyun chhode?"
