While some of us were busy with social media challenges, some had learnt a few new skills, in a recent interview, Abhishek Bachchan shared how he had spent lockdown 2020 with his wife, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
In a conversation with Bollywood Bubble, Abhishek Bachchan shared how his definition of success changed during the lockdown because of his wife, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. He shared that Aishwarya helped him bring focus to his life during the lockdown. Recalling a conversation with his wife, Aishwarya, he said, “The lockdown has taught everybody is that our definition of success also changes a lot. We are so busy chasing material things that we forget what’s really important. Some people ask, ‘Oh what did you do during the lockdown? What have you learned?’ Some people have learned to cook, some have picked up a new hobby, language, new skill set. I feel very overwhelmed and I was speaking to my wife about it.”
Abhishek then shared how Aishwarya helped him bring focus in his life as she taught him that the most valuable thing one has done during the lockdown is to be with one's family. He said, “And as all wives do, they put your lives into focus, they put you back on track. She said yeah but put it this way, ‘For the first time in your life you got to spend the entire year with your family. And your family is safe and healthy today’. And it’s so true. We get to do what we love and go back to a healthy and happy family. That’s successful. It doesn’t matter if you are living in a mansion or a hut. As long as you can smile or put a smile on the face of your loved ones what else matters?”
Talking about Abhishek and Aishwarya's love story, the duo had been best of friends and later, their friendship had turned into a beautiful union. In an interview with India Today, Abhishek had revealed his love story and had said, "I was working with Aishwarya during the start of my career. Our first film together was Dhai Akshar Prem Ke in 2000 and we were friends since then. Simultaneously, we signed another film together called Kuch Na Kaho. We always had a close friendship and in time, it evolved into something more than that."

He had said, “You hear about Ash – we all did before I became an actor – she comes with this huge reputation of being some divaesque figure. Everyone imagines she floats on a cloud or something!. But anyone who knows her knows her to be genuine, down to earth, approachable and tactile. And that disarms you. You think ‘Wait a second, she’s pretty cool’. And she really is.”
