On 'Koffee With Karan' season 3, Abhishek Bachchan had appeared with Aishwarya Rai and revealed her best on-screen pair apart from him.
Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan are one of the most loved couples in the glamour world. Over the years, the duo had worked together in movies like Dhai Akshar Prem Ke, Kuch Naa Kaho, Umrao Jaan, Dhoom 2, Guru, Sarkar Raj and Raavan. It is their sizzling on-screen chemistry, that had captivated the hearts of their fans and we cannot blame them.
Abhishek and Aishwarya’s love story is not less than any fairytale. They had met on the sets of the film, Dhaai Akshar Prem Ke in 2000 and were good friends at that time. However, they became more than just friends during the shooting of Umrao Jaan and Guru. After the premiere of Guru, Abhishek had proposed to Aishwarya in New York and she had accepted his proposal.

Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai had appeared on Koffee With Karan’s season 3 in 2010. During the rapid-fire round, Karan had asked Abhishek, who according to him had the best on-screen chemistry with Aishwarya, apart from him and gave him three options, Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan and Rajinikanth. To this Abhishek had taken Rajinikanth’s name and when KJO asked the reason behind it, Abhishek had stated:
“Because he is just the dude, man.”

In the same session, Abhishek also hailed Aishwarya and Shah Rukh’s chemistry. He further stated why he thought Aishwarya’s on-screen pair with Hrithik doesn’t do justice and had retorted:
“I have seen Duggu (Hrithik Roshan) and her together, and I think they make a wonderful pair. But unfortunately for both of them…what happens with somebody like Hrithik is that you find him so good-looking, you find it difficult to go past that. And when he is coupled with her, who is also the most sensational-looking person on Earth, it’s very difficult to go beyond the looks and actually look into the great work that they do. I think, with Shah Rukh, there was a raw energy which was very nice and interesting. But, I think, with Rajini uncle, it’s just fantastic. I loved Robot.”
During a 2018 event with filmmaker, Shoojit Sircar, Abhishek Bachchan had talked about pay parity and had shared how his wife, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was paid more than him. Revealing that Aishwarya’s paycheck was higher than him in eight out of nine films they did together, Abhishek had said:
“There’s a huge debate on gender parity in the film business and in other industries. I’ve worked in nine films with my wife and in eight of those, she’s got paid more than I have.”
