Abhishek Bachchan Reveals He Feels Bad For His Parents, Amitabh Bachchan And Jaya Bachchan

Abhishek Bachchan's father, Amitabh Bachchan has been lauding him with praises for his performance in 'Dasvi'. The actor revealed in an interview that he feels bad for his parents. Here's why!

Abhishek Bachchan, the son of veteran actors, Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan has proved his acting mettle in Bollywood with his versatile performances over his career span. He had made his debut in Bollywood with the film Refugee in 2000. Currently, the actor is riding high on the success of his latest released film, Dasvi.

Abhishek Bachchan has been getting heaps of praises for his performance in the film, Dasvi and his father, Amitabh Bachchan couldn't hold himself back from appreciating his son. Abhishek is a complete family man, and in a recent interview, he opened up about why he feels bad for his parents.

In a conversation with the Hindustan Times, Abhishek Bachchan talked about how grateful he feels when his dad, Abhishek Bachchan praises him but also feels sad to see how hesitant his parents become when it comes to saying nice things about him because of the people's mindset. He said:

"He is just like any other father of course. We tend to forget that my parents at the end of the day are also parents. I feel bad for them sometimes. They say they felt… I know my father has, he told me that he wants to reserve his comments about what he feels at times because he doesn't want people to misunderstand and say 'you are just being biased. It was very touching of him to say what he did. It made me very emotional and thankful." 

Further going into the conversation, Abhishek shared that Amitabh is too excited about his performance in Dasvi, and that is why he has been sharing and tweeting about his film. Abhishek mentioned how he can relate to his father as he is also one to his daughter, Aaradhya. He said:

“He is very excited. We tend to forget.. I am a parent as well today so I know you cannot see beyond your children. It gives you so much happiness when you see them happy, healthy, and hopefully successful.”

A few days back, when Dasvi's trailer was released, the proud father, Amitabh Bachchan had appreciated his son, Abhishek's performance in it. Declaring him to be his heir, Amitabh had quoted his father, Harivansh Rai Bachchan's poem and had tweeted:

"Mere bete, bete hone se tum mere uttradhikari nahi hoge. Jo mere uttradhikari honge, wo mere bete honge. --Harivansh Rai Bachchan. Abhishek, tum mere uttradhikari hoge, bus keh diya to keh diya."
