Abhishek Bachchan talks about father's sacrifices that go neglected amid his divorce rumours with Aishwarya Rai and after he gave his daughter, Aaradhaya's birthday bash a miss.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan, who tied the knot in 2007, welcomed their daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan, in 2011. However, in recent days Abhishek has been facing unwarranted rumours about a supposed linkup with Nimrat Kaur, which is sparked by baseless assumptions on Reddit. In the midst of this, Abhishek chose to allegedly skip his daughter's 13th birthday as none of his pictures from the celebration surfaced online.
On November 20, 2024, Aishwarya shared a carousel of pictures on her Instagram account, sharing glimpses of her father and Aaradhya's birthday bash. The little one turned 13 on November 16, 2024, and to celebrate the same, Aishwarya threw a party. The mother-daughter duo looked their happiest as they posed for the cameras. However, much to everyone's disappointment, Abhishek was nowhere to be seen at his daughter's birthday party.
Abhishek Bachchan has been busy promoting his emotional drama film, I Want To Talk, which is directed by Shoojit Sircar. To promote the same, Abhishek Bachchan appeared on Amitabh Bachchan’s Kaun Banega Crorepati 16. Therein, he shared how a father's sacrifices get neglected, and nobody talks about it. Praising his father, Abhishek added:
“Paa, I don’t know if this is the right thing to say. I hope people don’t misunderstand this. We are sitting here at 10 pm. My father left home at 6:30 in the morning so that we can easily wake up at 8 or 9 in the morning. Nobody talks about the sacrifices a father makes for his children.”
On November 20, 2024, Aishwarya shared a personal moment on her Instagram, capturing her daughter Aaradhya's transition to a teenager. The first photo depicted Aaradhya seeking blessings from her nanaji, dressed in a pristine white suit. This was followed by a touching moment where Aishwarya herself sought blessings from her father.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan also shared the joyous moments from Aaradhya's birthday party, adding to the celebratory atmosphere. In one photo, a customised balloon with the message 'You are officially a teenager, Aaradhya' was shared, followed by a stunning photo of the birthday girl in a silver body-fitted dress with a high neckline, radiating joy and happiness.
