Adnan Sami's Transformation: When Singer Told His Mom Not To Give Away His Clothes From 'Thin Days'

In a recent interview, Adnan Sami opened up about his weight loss journey and recalled an incident that played a significant role in his transformation.

Iconic singer, Adnan Sami is currently leading all the headlines as he addressed the claims that he opted for some surgery in order to lose weight. However, the singer declined it straightforwardly and even recalled a particular incident in his life that set the stage for his inspiring weight loss transformation. For the unversed, Adnan Sami weighed around 230 kgs, and after rigorous training and a strict diet, he managed to cut almost 155 kgs and currently weighs around 75 kgs.

In an interview with the Humans Of Bombay, the iconic singer, Adnan Sami opened up about his much-talked-about fitness transformation. From revealing how tough it was for him to recall the good old days when he was quite fit, Adnan unfolded a series of slices from his past. However, one incident became the core of his weight loss transformation. Opening up about the same, Adnan Sami shared how once his mother asked him why he is still keeping clothes in his wardrobe from the time when he was thin.

In response to the question, Adnan Sami gave an inspiring reply, as he stated that one day he would fit into them. The reply left the singer’s mother in splits and advised him to grab a cup of coffee. The discussion ended there, but Adnan was pumped up, and after making such a statement to his own mother, he was determined to prove that he was a man of his words. Recalling the same incident, he said:

"My mother turned around one day and said, ‘Listen, why don’t you get rid of these? Get rid of these clothes because they are taking up too much space. You can use these cupboards for something else.’ I said, ‘No, one day, I am going to fit into them. And my mother was like ‘excuse me, wake up and smell the coffee’."

Further, in the same interview, Adnan Sami also shared how many people think he was overweight right from childhood, but it is not true. Clearing all the speculations and assumptions about his weight, the singer admitted that he was quite thin and fit during his teenage years. From playing sports like polo and horse riding to participating in tent pegging, he was quite into fitness, and being overweight came quite later in his life. Sharing his thoughts about the same, Adnan stated:

"I was not 230 kgs all my life. I was very fit and thin in my teens. I used to play rugby, squash. I was the squash champion of Abu Dhabi. I used to play polo, horseback riding, tent pegging. The weight came to me much later. But I had a whole bunch of clothes in my wardrobe which were from my thin days."

At the end of the interview, Adnan Sami also addressed the speculations and rumours that he underwent liposuction surgery in order to lose weight. For the unversed, reports have been rife in the media for some years now that the singer opted for some surgery in order to lose weight. However, none of the reports presented any proof of the same. In his interview, Adnan talked about the same and denied all the speculations. Sharing his thoughts about the same, he said:

"People thought, ‘inhone surgery karvayi, Liposuction karvaya’. None of it was done by any kind of surgical interference."
