In the recent episode of 'Bigg Boss 18', Afreen Khan opened up about some deeply personal and painful tragedies of his wife, Sara's life.
In the latest heart-rending episode of Bigg Boss 18, life coach, Afreen Khan became quite lachrymose while sharing some chapters from his and his wife, Sara’s life. The Bigg Boss house was in splits after the couple revealed that Sara would leave the house in 24 hours, at Afreen’s plea. The contestants were surprised by the announcement and came forth to share their apprehension about the sudden decision, after which the life coach shared some painful incidents from the couple's journey.
The Bigg Boss 18 contestant opened up about a harrowing incident in the couple's life. He shared that his wife, Sara was pregnant with twins when the couple met with an accident, just a year after their marriage. Sara unfortunately had a miscarriage after the mishap. Sharing the sorrowful incident, Afreen stated:
“Sara was carrying twins when we met with the accident, I am her husband, and I’m protective towards her. I don’t think she’s weak, but sometimes I have to make difficult decisions. You don’t know what we’ve been through, what she has been through.”
The painful revelation did not stop there, remembering the tragic events, Afreen further shared that, Sara’s father died shortly after their lavish Dubai wedding. His death had deeply affected Sara. He recalled how he was the one who found her father hanging and had to shield Sara from witnessing the agonising scene. The life coach shed light on how close Sara was with her father, as he shared:
“I became her support…..If she had seen it, she might have died"
The famous life coach, Afreen Khan also shared that the couple was pressurised by relatives to have children, despite their loss and struggle with coming to terms with what had happened. He shared how deeply it affected the couple as he said:
“People kept telling us to have kids, but they didn’t understand the pain and the battles we were dealing with.”
The revelation ached the hearts of the viewers and the contestants. While Afreen’s confession moved everyone, it also encouraged other contestants like Alice Kaushik to open up about losing her father. The former was seen confining in, Eisha Singh about her father’s suicide. However, not everyone seemed convinced by Afreen Khan’s concern for his wife, Sara as Karan Veer Mehra was later seen questioning his motives, implying that it was all a ploy to gain the audience’s commiseration.
