In a recent interview, Agastya Nanda finally broke his silence on his debut film, 'The Archies', receiving mixed responses from the audience.
Amitabh Bachchan's grandson, Agastya Nanda made his acting debut with Zoya Akhtar's film, The Archies, in December 2023. For the unversed, he played the lead role of 'Archie' in the film. The film’s stellar cast includes other Gen-Z stars such as Suhana Khan, Khushi Kapoor, Mihir Ahuja, Aditi Dot, Vedang Raina, and more. However, the film received mixed reactions from the audience and even created a meme fest on social media.
In an interview with Film Companion, Agastya Nanda opened up about his debut film, The Archies, getting mixed responses. Reacting to the same, he shared that no one made the film with bad intentions and that he did not know how to deal with the mixed responses that the film received. He stated:
"I did not know how to deal with it honestly. When you are not prepped in this area, you don't know that many people have many opinions. That was okay. You must have your opinion. I did not know what was going on. Some people hated it, some people liked it, and some people were indifferent to it. No one made a film with bad intentions. We made it because we really loved it and we gave it our best."

Agastya further accepted that The Archies did not work on some levels, but it took him some time to get to that realisation. He also shared that while he was expecting validation and it did not work out, he got hurt, but it also motivated him. Expressing his wish to work hard, Agastya revealed how he learned a lot during The Archies, and said:
"It's my first try and I'm gonna work hard. I learned a lot in this past month just about gratitude that I was like okay, it may have not worked to the way we expected it but I got a break."
The star kid also added that he is extremely happy that he got to showcase himself on a huge platform and got the opportunity to work with one of the finest directors. He further shared that he made six lovely friends and also got brilliant exposure. Agastya added:
"I gave it my best, and I'll keep giving it my best."

On December 8, 2023, the premiere of the much-awaited Netflix film, The Archies was hosted in Mumbai. During the event, Abhishek Bachchan expressed his feelings after watching The Archies and said that he turned nostalgic. Talking about his emotions, Abhishek said:
"It took us back in time, you know. We all grew up reading Archies and it was just, you know, we were transported back to our youth."
