Aishwarya Rai's closeness with a veteran actress is said to be one of the main reasons of her rift with the Bachchan clan.

Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan seem to have hit a rough patch in their wedding. Though neither the duo nor their family members have officially spoken anything about the alleged feud, their actions spoke louder than words. The entire family arrived together for Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant's weddings sans Aishwarya. The latter attended the event with her daughter, Aaradhya.

As per a report from Koimoi, Aishwarya Rai's closeness with Rekha is one of the main reasons for her conflict with the Bachchan clan. The duo was seen warmly hugging and interacting at the entrance of the Ambani wedding and Aaradhya was also seen hugging Rekha, while the latter lovingly caressed her head.

It is no secret that Amitabh Bachchan shares a history with Rekha and her equation with the Bachchan clan is quite dicey. So, Aishwarya's closeness with the veteran actress is quite controversial. Earlier, Aishwarya was also spotted exchanging hugs and kisses with Rakha at multiple ocassions. At the NMACC event, Aishwarya posed with Rekha, where the latter had their arms around Aaradhya, and back in 2019, Aishwarya was seen walking hand in hand with Rekha after attending Urdu poet anniversary celebration.

Rekha once wrote a letter to Aishwarya and called herself the latter's 'Maa'

Rekha once wrote a heartfelt letter to Aishwarya and heaped praises on her. She congratulated Aishwarya for completing two decades in the industry and called her a flowing river who is never stagnant. She added that Aish has no pretence and does everything she wants to as a free spirit. At the end she called herself as Aishwarya's 'Rekha Maa'.

A section of netizens hailed the duo's bond and said, "Bacchans having entry together and aish- rekha having entry together. Both of them are gathering allies going by the proverb Enemy's enemy is my friend…lol." While another bashed Abhishek for not being present with his wife and daughter.
