Ajay Devgn in a recent podcast revealed how he reacts to his viral 'Zuban Kesari' memes and also shared if he took offence about Ranveer Allahbadia's dog vs. tiger analysis.
Ajay Devgn, a stalwart in the Hindi entertainment industry, has significantly shaped the tough guy image in films. His debut in 1991 with the film, Phool Aur Kante, was a milestone in his illustrious career. Beyond films, Ajay's influence extends to advertisements, but it's his 'Zuban Kesari' meme that has truly captured the public's imagination. Now, the actor has reacted to the viral sensation for the first time.
Ajay Devgn has recently been dominating the headlines with his film, Singham Again. To promote his film, the actor, along with the film's director and his dear friend, Rohit Shetty, joined Ranveer Allahbadia's podcast, where the latter asked if he had come across his own 'Zuban Kesari' memes. To which, Ajay Devgn said:
"It's okay, it doesn't matter yaar.'
Rohit Shetty quipped that the actors don't get offended by memes anymore, as they have also become accustomed to them. So now, when they come across a meme, they share it and laugh about it.
In the same podcast, Ranveer asked Ajay if he was offended over his lion vs dog psycho-analysis, which he did the last time the actor was here on the podcast. For the unversed, the analysis went viral on social media, and people made memes that Ranveer called Ajay a dog. However, the Singham actor cleared the air and stated that he didn't think about it that way and was not offended as it was only a part of the podcast.
Bollywood star, Ajay Devgn and director, Rohit Shetty joined Salman Khan in the most recent 'Weekend Ka Vaar' episode of Bigg Boss 18 to promote their forthcoming movie, Singham Again. When Salman Khan saw that Ajay was wearing glasses during their conversation, Salman asked, "Aankh pe jo chot lagi thi yehi pe lagi thi kya?" In reference to an injury Ajay had previously had. Rohit added:
"Haan iss film pe."
After that, Salman described what happened with Ajay during the Singham Again filming. Salman Khan said that Ajay had shown him an action sequence that led to his eye injury. Recalling their conversation, Salman said:
"Ajay showed me a shot. There was a mistiming, and a person came to beat him with a stick, and its timing went off. So it straight hit him in the eye."
Ajay Devgn revealed that a major eye injury had been caused by an action sequence that was ill-timed during a shoot. He disclosed that he had to have minor surgery and was blinded for two to three months, underscoring the dangers of acting out action scenes. Salman stated that performers in action-packed parts are subject to occupational hazards. He also said that these accidents are a natural part of the work. Thinking back on his decades-long career in Bollywood, Ajay Devgn added that technical developments have made filming these scenes safer and simpler than in the past. In Ajay Devgn's words:
"Do-teen mahine toh vision chali gayi thi. I went through a little surgery also."
