After being tested positive for COVID-19, Akshay Kumar was hospitalised. The actor shared the news on his social media handles.
The second wave of Coronavirus is a lot scarier than the first one. With the rapid increase in the number of cases, Maharashtra has planned for a complete lockdown. And Bollywood is turning out to have the largest number of COVID cases. After, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Aamir Khan, Kartik Aaryan, R Madhavan, Vikrant Massey, Paresh Rawal, Tara Sutaria, Manoj Bajpayee, Satish Kaushik and a lot more, Akshay Kumar confirms being tested positive for COVID 19. The actor was hospitalised as a precautionary measure.

Akshay Kumar is a prominent celebrity, who had actively participated to create awareness regarding Coronavirus in the year 2020. From contributing to the Prime Minister’s relief fund to urging people to resume work only after taking necessary precautions, Akshay was quite active for creating awareness among the masses. Ever since the restrictions were lifted, Akshay had resumed his work and completed filming Bell Bottom and Atrangi Re. A few days back, the actor had begun shooting for Ram Setu with Jacqueline Fernandez and Nushrratt Baruccha.
On April 4, 2021, Akshay announced the news of being tested positive for COVID 19. And now, a few hours back, the actor informed his fans that he is hospitalised as a precautionary measure. Taking to his IG handle, he wrote, “Thank you everyone for all your warm wishes and prayers, they seem to be working, I am doing fine, but as a precautionary measure under medical advice, I have been hospitalised. I hope to be back home soon. Take care.”
To announce the news of his COVID positive result, Akshay had taken to his IG handle and had written, “I wish to inform everyone that, earlier this morning, I have tested positive for COVID-19. Following all the protocols, I have immediately isolated myself. I'm under home quarantine and have sought necessary medical care. I would sincerely request all those that have come in contact with me to get themselves tested and take care. Back in action very soon.”

After staying in the lockdown for the whole of 2020, Twinkle Khanna and Akshay Kumar had taken some time out to go on a vacation in March 2021. On March 11, 2021, Akshay had given a digital tour to his fans of his vacation. The actor had posted a lovely picture with wifey, Twinkle from their beach vacation. The mushy picture had shown Akshay and Twinkle's love for each other. The gorgeousness had donned an abstract-printed shrug while Akshay was seen wearing a white t-shirt. Along with it, he had written, "Happy place = Happy face. We are grateful for this getaway in the middle of a pandemic!"
A few days back, Twinkle had taken to her Instagram handle and had shared two pictures, revealing the reality of Instagram v/s real-life couples. In the first picture, the duo had happily posed for the camera with a beautiful sea in the backdrop. In the second picture, we could see Twinkle sitting on Akshay's lap and trying to shut her hubby's mouth. Alongside the pictures, Twinkle had written, "Couples on Instagram and then in reality. If we all really smiled at each other like we do when someone pulls out a camera, there would be fewer divorces #SmileOkPlease."
