Bollywood's Khiladi, Akshay Kumar, is one of the few actors in the film industry who are balancing the art of making money with commercial films and is changing age-old societal practices and ideologies with his hard-hitting conceptual movies.
Talking about his personal life, it was on January 17, 2001, when Akshay Kumar had tied the knot with Twinkle Khanna and had started his 'happily ever after' journey. On September 15, 2002, the couple was blessed with their first child, Aarav and had welcomed their second child, a baby girl, Nitara, on September 25, 2012. Since then, both Akshay and Twinkle have been inspiring everyone with their parenting skills.

In 2014, Akshay Kumar sat down in a heart-to-heart conversation with Irfan on his show, Guftagoo. In his interview, the actor had opened up about a lot of things, from talking about his mother, Aruna Bhatia, to his wife, Twinkle Khanna and about the future of his kids, Aarav Kumar and Nitara Kumar. When the actor was asked about his son, Aarav's acting debut in the film industry, the actor had stated that people often ask him about Aarav's future and tell him, 'Aapka Beta Aarav Toh Filmo Main Aayega'. Revealing the answer that he gives to these sorts of statements. He had said:
“Aaj mera beta (Aarav) hain. Kayi log puchte hai, vo toh filmo main he aayega. Main bolta hu zaruri baat nahi hain. Kyu aayega filmo main. Kyu aayega. Uska agar mann karega toh aayega. Uska mann agar kahi aur lagta hain. Uska mann painting main lagta hain. Ab uska mann hai main usko zabrdasti filmo main kyu leaau.”
Going further in his statement, the doting father, Akshay Kumar, had also stated that his son, Aarav Kumar finds a lot of happiness and peace in painting. The actor had also added that he always feels great whenever he sees his son being completely engrossed in painting because that's where his heart and passion lies. Explaining his idea, Akshay emphasised that parents shouldn't force their children to create interest in something they don't like or aren't interested in. He had stated:
“Ab uska mann padhai main thoda bahut lagta hain. Toh karta hain. Uska mann sara time painting-painting main laga rehta hai. Toh Mujhe acha lagta hai. Kar beta acha hain. Painting kar tu. Koi baat nahi. Esme kya hogaya.”

In the same interview, the show's host, Irfan, had questioned Akshay Kumar to recall the exact moment when he had decided to be an actor. Answering this, the actor had opened up about a rare intense argument that had happened between him and his father, Hari Om Bhatia.
“Ek chooti si cheez thi. Maine jada jan ko nahi bataya ki ek din mere pitaji (Hari Om Bhatia) bahut gusse main aa gaye. Ki main padh nahi raha tha. Toh vo matlab yaha tak pahuch gaye the ki mujhe thappad maarne he wale the.”
Akshay had stated that once his father was scolding him after he had attained bad marks in exams, and was yelling at him continuously, asking just one question, "Zindagi main kya karega". Revealing his response to the question, Akshay had said that his entry into the film industry was a call of destiny. He had said:
“Main bhi bahut gusse main tha, kyuki mere marks bahut kam aaye the. Toh vo mujhe puchne lage ki padhega nahi toh kya karega. Zindagi main kya karega. Sachi keh raha hu. Ese he muu se nikal gaya, main hero banjaunga. Dimag main kahi nahi tha hero banna. Lekin vo kehte haina ki vo muuh se ek baat nikal gayi. Ab us waqt kya pata Sarasvati vaha se gujar rahi ho toh vo baat sach hogayi.”
