Akshay Kumar leaving the set of 'Bigg Boss 18' created a buzz around what had occurred. Recently, the actor cleared the air and shared the reason behind his exit.
Bigg Boss 18 finale was a banger, and the audience loved the drama, dazzle and suspense it brought. While Karan Veer Mehra was crowned the winner of the show, Vivian Dsena and Rajat Dalal were titled the runners-up. However, how could the television's most controversial reality show end without a little drama? Something like that happened when the news broke out that Akshay Kumar had left the set of Bigg Boss 18 without completing the shoot with host, Salman Khan.
Akshay Kumar has been busy promoting his upcoming film, Sky Force. The actor was supposed to appear on the finale of Bigg Boss 18 to promote his film. However, things took a turn, and the actor had to leave the set without shooting with the show host, Salman Khan. Since Khiladi Kumar's departure, the audience has been curious about what prompted him to leave. While speaking with the media, Akshay cleared the air and shared the reason for his sudden exit. He stated:
"He was not late. I was running late for something. I spoke to Salman, and he was stuck on something personal. He told me that he would be late by around 40 minutes. But I had to leave because I had a prior commitment. So we spoke about it, and I left, and Veer (Pahariya) was there."
According to a report by HT, Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya were supposed to appear together on Bigg Boss 18 to promote Sky Force. The show would have also featured Akshay and Salman's reunion on screen after Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, which further made the occasion nostalgic. However, things did not pan out as they had hoped, and Salman and Akshay were not able to make the timing work.
A source from the publication commented on this and revealed that Akshay had waited for an hour for Salman. However, the latter was stuck with some other commitment, and Akshay had to leave since he had other tasks on his schedule. They were quoted saying:
"Being as punctual as he is, Akshay turned up on the set for his shoot at the scheduled time, around 2.15 pm. But Salman hadn't come by then. Akshay waited an hour for Salman to come, but the former had a trial screening of Jolly LLB 3 in his schedule. Thus, after waiting for an hour, Akshay returned without even shooting for the show."
Sky Force will be released in theatres on January 24, 2025, ahead of Republic Day. The film stars Akshay Kumar as an Air Force officer who is on a revenge mission following the death of fellow soldiers. The actor will be joined by debutant, Veer Pahariya, who also plays the role of an IAF officer, and Sara Ali Khan, who portrays Veer's wife.
