In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Akshay Kumar had revealed that how desperately he had requested his wife, Twinkle Khanna for casting him in the film but she kept on saying that it’s too risky. He had stated, “She wanted to make a small film. I requested ‘Mujhe le lo isme, main kaam karna chahunga!” In the same interview, Twinkle Khanna was also present and had talked about the same but had revealed that originally she wanted to make a small budget film because she was unsure about its monetary success at the box-office. She had revealed, “It was a risky subject, so I earlier wanted to make just a small movie, because we were unsure whether we would be able to recover the investment, or the film would catch on with the people the way it has. I discussed it with him, and he was fascinated right from the beginning... It’s his finest performance.” (Also Read: Hina Khan Finally Gets To Meet The Love Of Her Life, Rocky Jaiswal After Ages Amidst The Lockdown)
