Ali Fazal Talks About Wedding Being Postponed With Bae, Richa Chadha Due To COVID-19 Pandemic

The lack of antidote has made this virus more vicious, as the only solution left is to stay at home and sanitize. The lockdown, on one hand, has brought people closer, on another hand has made it difficult for people to live. While most of us stay with our families, imagine the wrath of people, who planned to get married to the love of their life in 2020! Ali Fazal and Richa Chadha are one such couple, who were all set to get take their relationship a notch higher and get married, but the year 2020 had other plans for them. Bollywood’s 'bholi punjban', Richa Chadha fell in love with her Fukrey co-actor, Ali Fazal. The two met for the first time on the set of Fukrey in 2012 and became friends. It was in the year 2015, that the two started dating, but it was later in 2017 that the couple made their relationship public. Ali and Richa, who have been head-over-heels in love with each other, were finally ready to take a leap of faith in the month of April 2020, but COVID-19 ruined their plan, and the couple had to postpone their wedding. In a media interaction, Ali Fazal talked about how everyone’s life has been postponed.

In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Ali Fazal, who recently returned to India after shooting for a project in the US, talked about his wedding with beau, Richa Chadha being postponed due to the Coronavirus pandemic, and said, “Sabki life postpone ho gayi hai, shaadi toh... let’s see what comes out of this in the new world. I hope we come out as better people, a better system, a better climate. I think there’s a major churning happening above, below, inside and outside... everywhere. It’s definitely a time to reflect.”

On March 19, 2020, Ali Fazal and Richa Chadha’s official spokesperson had confirmed the news of wedding being postponed to ETimes, and had said, “Given the current scenario and unfortunate turn of events owing to the COVID-19 pandemic, Ali Fazal and Richa Chadha have decided to postpone their wedding functions to the latter half of 2020, tentatively. The source had further added, “It’s not safe to venture out at this time, and we don’t know how long this will go on. Ali’s extended family is based in Canada and owing to travel restrictions they cannot be here in April. The couple is also expecting industry friends from the UK and US, who also won’t be able to be here in April. So, October seems feasible for now. Everything else remains the same, including the venue, outfits planned, and teams involved.”

On April 4, 2020, Ali Fazal had taken to his Instagram handle and had posted a motion picture of his girlfriend, Richa Chadha. In the motion picture, we could see Richa’s side pose as the curtains behind her moves vertically in the upward direction. Along with the picture, the actor had penned down a sweet little poem in Urdu that could be read as “Mohabbat ke liye kuchh khaas dil makhsoos hote hain - yeh Woh ‘nagma’ hai jo har saaz pe gaya nahi jaata.- M Dehelvi.
