It was a historic moment when the whole of Bollywood stood together, united, even being physically far apart for India's fight against the global pandemic, Coronavirus. From Shah Rukh Khan to Kareena Kapoor Khan to Akshay Kumar, all of them took part in the 'I For India' online concert to raise funds for the less fortunate. Alia Bhatt had a special message to give for all the people, who are putting their lives at risk to make ours comfortable in these trying times. One of the finest actors of our generation, Alia Bhatt also took part in this online concert along with her sister, Shaheen Bhatt. They sang a magical rendition of Ikk Kudi and Dil Hai Ki Maanta Nahi, along with musician, Ankur Tiwari. Alia also gave a beautiful message, thanking all the frontline warriors in this fight against the global pandemic. Scroll down for further deets!
After introducing herself and her sister, Shaheen, Alia went on to say, "It's safe to say that we're going through trying times right now and we're not gonna lie even we're scared, we wake every morning feeling confused about the future and feeling fearful about the unknown, still feeling hopeful that things will get better." Shaheen then joins in to say, "And I think it's really important for those in a more fortunate position to absolutely do whatever they can and help in whichever way they can." Alia then weighed in, "Like us! Today we have come together to show solidarity and say a big big big thank you to all of you out there, who are really putting their lives in danger for us. Thank you so much, doctors, nurses, policemen, delivery people, you name it, I mean we don't know what we would've done without you so thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts." Alia and Shaheen have been spending their lockdown together, and one or the other keeps updating their fans about each other's lockdown gimmicks, time and again. For instance, Shaheen had taken to her Instagram stories on April 23, 2020, and had shared a picture of Alia engrossed in reading Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. Alia had looked supercute in a navy-blue top with her hair tied back. Along with picture, Shaheen had written, “She's finally reading all the many versions of Hary Potter I have lying around. So proud." Even Alia had shared a picture of the book she was reading and had written alongside it, "I’ve made a new friend #worldbookday #currentlyreading." Apart from reading, the Bhatt sisters are trying their hand at cooking as well, the glimpse of which we had seen on Alia's Instagram handle when she had shared pictures of their cooking charades. The newbie chefs had donned their aprons and had baked themselves a delicious cake and banana bread. Alia had captioned the pictures as "Stayed home & ...baked a little with the sister @shaheenb made the real chocolate cake & I made the grain-free paleo banana bread #learntsomethingnew."
