According to various media reports, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor are all set to tie the knot in December 2021 and have been clearing their work schedule for the same.
Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s wedding reports often hit the headlines. However, never any of them come true. It was said that Ranbir and Alia will tie the knot in 2020, but the COVID-19 pandemic and Rishi Kapoor’s death led to the change in their plans. On New Year’s Eve, there were speculations that Ranbir and Alia had exchanged the rings, but that was never confirmed. Now, the reports have it that Ranbir and Alia are soon going to tie the marital knot.
For the unversed, it was Alia Bhatt’s crush on Ranbir Kapoor that their stars had aligned making them do a film, Brahmastra together. The shoot of the film played the Cupid for them and now their marriage will be just a formality. It was on Sonam Kapoor Ahuja and Anand S Ahuja’s wedding reception, when Alia and Ranbir had walked hand-in-hand, leaving everyone in awe. It’s been almost three years since their relationship and we are hopeful that this time Ranbir and Alia are set to tie the knot.

According to various media reports, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor are all set to tie the knot in December 2021. It is said that both Alia and Ranbir have cleared their shooting schedules. Ranbir is said to have pushed the shooting dates of his film, Animal to January 2022 and Alia has wrapped up all her assignments and will only be promoting her film, Gangubai Kathiawadi, which is slated to release in January 2022.
Deccan Chronicles quoted its source saying that both Alia and Ranbir have kept themselves free for a few days from November until the first few days of January. Stating that the Kapoors will soon announce their wedding, the portal reported:
“Ranbir has pushed the Animal shoot to 2022; besides, he has to Shamshera to promote, which releases in March 2022. The buzz is that the two are getting married in December, which is why they’ve kept their date diaries empty, just as Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma had done even as they denied about the wedding before going off to Italy to get married. Hopefully, there’ll be an official announcement, just as the Kapoors normally do.”

In February 2021, Ranbir and Alia had visited the site of their new house with mommy, Neetu Kapoor, and it had started the rumours of their wedding again. It was said that Ranbir and Alia are getting their new home ready before embracing the marital journey. Later, Neetu Kapoor, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni and her daughter, Samara Sahni were spotted outside ace designer, Manish Malhotra’s studio, reigniting the wedding rumours of Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor. With the continuous occurrence of such events, the wedding rumours of the love birds seem to be coming into reality soon.
In an interview with Rajeev Masand, when the journalist had recalled Ranbir saying that he had wanted to be married by 32 and have kids by 34 and had asked him to comment on it, the Brahmastra star had retorted, “Well, I think it would have already been sealed if the pandemic had not hit our lives. I don’t want to jinx it by saying anything. I want to tick mark that goal very soon in my life.”
