Alia Bhatt took everyone’s breath away at the Met Gala 2024. The popular Bollywood actress looked absolutely beautiful in a Sabyasachi sheer tulle floral saree featuring a 23-foot-long train. According to an Instagram post shared by the designer, Alia’s couture saree was hand-embroidered with silk floss, beads, sequins, and semi-precious stones. Her blouse was adorned with emeralds, pearls, tourmalines, and multi-coloured sapphires. Moreover, she opted for a sheesh patti and heavy earrings to accentuate the beauty of her overall look.

According to the influencer marketing platform, Lefty, Alia left behind popular international celebrities like the supermodel, Kendall Jenner, and her sister, Kylie Jenner and the Skims founder, Kim Kardashian. The Bollywood actress even surpassed the popularity of Gigi Hadid, Jennifer Lopez, Cardi B, Stray Kids, and Shakira.

Not just Alia but the brand, Sabyasachi emerged at the top, leaving behind other extremely popular luxury brands such as Burberry, Thom Browne, Oscar de la Renta, and Loewe. While Alia’s earned media value (EMV) was reported to be USD 4.2 million, which is around INR 35 crore, upon conversion, Sabyasachi’s EMV was estimated to be USD 471K, approximately INR 3.93 crore.

Sabyasachi Mukherjee, known for his opulent designs and ultra-luxurious Indian craftsmanship, was also at the fashion extravaganza. He became the first Indian designer to attend the Met Gala. For the event, the designer opted for a long, heavily embroidered coat over a crisp white shirt and beige pants. He accessorised his outfit with tons of jewellery from his own brand and wore chic sunglasses to complete his look for the glamorous night.
