Diwali is a festival which is celebrated with lights and love. Most of the celebrities decided to celebrate the festival with their friends and family members, partying and dancing the night away. And we wait to spot the celebrities to take some fashion inspiration from them. However, it was Alia Bhatt, who gave us major inspiration this Diwali season as her outfit not only turned the heads but also touched the lives of the kids, who need someone to hold onto them.
On the occasion of Diwali 2020, Alia Bhatt posted two gorgeous pictures in her baby pink coloured lehenga looking like an elegant doll. Along with the picture, Alia mentioned in her caption that her lehenga is a labour of love as the name of children of AOL free schools were embroidered on it. Sharing the pictures, she wrote, “This Diwali I wanted to do something different, instead I wore something different. This lehenga is a labour of love of so many amazing people - the children of AOL free schools whose names are embroidered on it and karigars who worked across many months. Wishing you all a very Happy Diwali and hope everyone’s in the pink of health, just like my outfit.” Take a look:
Later, Alia Bhatt’s stylist, Ami Patel revealed that Alia kept the occasion of Diwali and Children’s Day in her mind and got her lehenga ready in 4 months. Sharing Alia’s picture, Ami narrated that the lehenga was made out of 100 per cent waste organic fabric with the labour of 13 karigars, 35 children and their creative ideas. If we talk about Alia’s love life, then Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor’s love story makes us believe in Om Shanti Om’s famous dialogue, Kehte hain agar kisi cheez ko dil se chaho… to puri kainaat usse tumse milane ki koshish mein lag jaati hai. It was in 2014 when Alia had first talked about her crush on Ranbir Kapoor and how she had picked him as the first contestant for her swayamvar on Karan Johar’s chat show, Koffee With Karan. Fast forward to them doing a film together and falling in love with each other, this surely makes us believe in Alia’s shiddat towards Ranbir Kapoor. The two had also spent the lockdown together and it was Alia, who was standing like a rock next to the Kapoor khandaan during the demise of Ranbir’s father, Rishi Kapoor.
